Chicken Noodle Soup

I tried to follow the recipe as written but had to use what I had at home, so less chicken, about 1 cup more carrots because some reviews said it was lacking in vegetables and this is how I get them into my family. After I started cooking I realized I didn't have any marjoram. A quick look at reviews showed that oregano and thyme were good, so I split the amount for marjoram between the two. Very good. Smelled great cooking. Will definitely make again. Oh, I added 3 cloves of garlic but I really didn't notice it so I could have skipped it. My husband loved it too.

Tomato Barley Soup

A great base recipe that you can adjust to your own preference.I agreed that it needed more seasonning. i omitted the oil and sauteed with a bit of cooking spray, then added grated zucchini, green beans, a can of tomato paste, basil, parsley, bay leaf and a touch of Mrs Dash. It turned into almost a cream based soup but really low in calories. A great healthy soup that seems decadent.

We love to make this when camping. We premix dry ingredients before leaving,then just melt butter and add water at camp. Very easy and it's great to have fresh baked goods out in the woods!My kids love it with jam for a camp breakfast or a campfire snack.

My whole family loves this. Not only do we make it on skewers, but sometimes I just marinade whole pork chops or chicken breasts and then grill. I even fill freezer bags with meat and marinade then freeze. The meat takes in the flavours as it freezes and thaws. This is one of my all time favourite recipes.

Burnt Butter Rice

I served this to my children (ages 9-14) and they loved it. Then I served it to all of the inlaws and they loved it too. This includes my sister-in-law, who hates everything. Both times I made chicken souvlaki and a side greek salad.I highly recommend this - great for company. The mild flavour that goes great with spicier offerings. I used bouillon cubes both times.
