Pear Pie III

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
This was really quite good. It appealed to me because it was very easy to make it gluten free. I actually made it with Almond Milk and Gluten Free Flour, it looked lovely, I would add just a touch of cinnamon next time. I did sprinkle a few Butter Toffee Glazed Almond Accent Almonds on top, this really added to its appearance. I served it to company first time round which I normally would never do but Id just picked the pears off my tree and wanted to use them.

Salsa Ninety Nine (Mild)

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
I keep coming back to this one. I use way less hot peppers but that is the only thing I change. It's a lot of work doing all of that chopping but it is well worth the effort.

Nancy's version Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2012
These were excellent! I am a veteran pancake maker and my family loved these. I tweaked it just a little. I 4X the recipe and put in 1/2 tsp salt and a tsp of vanilla. I left out the nutmeg as I don't care for it and added extra cinnamon. I put in 1/3 cup sugar to my 4X version. I didn't mix in the blue berries, I dropped them on top as I was cooking them. The yogurt makes them extra moist and they had excellent flavor and texture. I'd encourage you to try them. I did add more milk than the recipe suggested, they were to thick to cook nicely. I'll be making these again soon. Thanks for sharing it!

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
These were great! Who would have ever thought to put Mountain Dew in Apple Dumplings? Very creative! Next time I make them I'll use only 1 cup of sugar, they were a little too sweet for my taste. I'll be making this quirky recipe again soon.

Fried Rice with Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
I never knew why I loved Chicken Fried Rice so much, It's the Bacon Fat! While not the healthiest it is certainly was delicious. This will definately be a go to for left over rice. I had rotisserie chicken from the grocery store and added it to the bacon fat at the end. Worked out great, I added more low sodium soy sauce then called for. A big thumbs up from me, simple and good!

Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
This is an outstanding recipe, it was one of the hits of our son's graduation open house. Very moist, very sweet, very easy! I didn't use the lemon juice called for because I didn't have any, I don't know how they could have been any better. This ones a winner!

Wonderfully delicious! I actually used spicy bloody mary mix for half the tomato juice. My family loved it!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2005
This was a big hit with my boys! It was too spicy for me, next time I'll cut down on the cumin and cayenne, I had already left the jalapeno out. Great dish for a cold day.
