Chinese Lion's Head Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
YUMMY! Because I wanted to cut out fat I used ground turkey breast instead of the pork even though I know it is a different flavor. I also used 6 cups chicken broth and no water. I also thought a whole head of cabbage would be alot but not so. I did not use MSG. Next time I'm thinking of adding a little extra ginger and doubling the green onions. I did serve with rice. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

German Apple Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2011
YUM! I made cupcakes. The only thing I did different is swap out a 1/4 C. of the oil for a 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce. Next time I will do 1/2. I used Haralsen apples. I did not make the frosting. I used ready made. I would definitely make these again.

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
Delicious. I adjusted the recipe for 12 servings and stuck pretty close to the recipe. Based on other reviews I used equal parts olive oil and vinegar. I also used 2 parts red wine vinegar to 1 part balsamic vinegar instead of all red wine vinegar. For the 12 serving size I use 1/2 C oil and 1/2 C vinegar mixture. I will definitely make again. Thanks!

I love beer margaritas. I use lemon-lime soda in place of the water. Simple, easy and delicious.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Love it! I've made it several times. I do replace one of the cans of chili beans with kidney beans and I also add 3 or 4 chopped smoked andouille sausage.

Italian Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
Delicious!!! My friends are all asking for the recipe. I've made it twice now. I didn't use the zuchinni because I don't care for it in soup. I did add 2 yukon gold potatoes(diced)along with the carrots. The second time I used Turkey Store Italian seasoned ground turkey and it was just as good and less fat. I also added a teaspoon of dried italian seasoning. Thanks!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
Yum! My daughter(age 17) was in the mood for carrot cake and decided to try this one. She did replace half the oil with unsweetend applesauce and used 1/2 white sugar and 1/2 brown sugar. She also reduced the amount of sugar in the frosting by 1 cup. We will definitely use this recipe again. Thanks!

Very good. Skipped the garlic salt and used a clove of minced garlic instead. Will be making this again.

Herbed Rib Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
Very tasty. Took longer to cook than it was suppose to and I was going for med. rare. Cranked up the heat to 375 towards the end because I was roasting potatoes. That helped. I would use this recipe again at a little higher heat.

Chewy Pecan Bars

These were not that great. I followed the recipe exactly. They were greasy on the bottom and did not have much flavor. I took them to a family reunion and I still had half a pan left. I will not be making these again.

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
Yum! I loved it even though it was too much oil. I would cut the oil in half and double the lemon juice. I also used tilapia and fresh basil. I didn't have parsley. I will definately make again but with the changes I mentioned.
