Chicken Supreme II

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
For a quick dinner, this was okay but definately NOT for company coming over. I left out mushrooms (didn't have any..) and threw in some steamed brocolli. I didn't have tarragon so used marjoram. I say 3 & spouse say 2 stars. I do believe sauce is a good base but need to add more of something...quite not sure. I will try recipe again.

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
Because of the GREAT reviews I was excited to try this. Sorry but I HATED IT! The flavors were weird. Maybe because of the changes I've made, but I followed other reviews..substituting 2 cans of soup w/ 2 cans chopped tomato, & used only 1 can of kidney beans & half of pepper flakes. Cooked it on low for 6 hours and it turned out a little dry. I added tomato paste, some water, & some sugar to somehow sweeten the flavor. Maybe tomato soup would have made a big difference.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
Every stroganoff recipe I tried was terrible so I never bothered to look for another.. But since my husband bought me a slow cooker, I searched for slow cooker recipes...came across this one & decided to try it, thanks to all the reviews-- Without them I would've just passed this one by. GREAT TASTE & VERY EASY. Husband loved it!! THANKS!

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2006
Don't bake much cookies so not sure if I did something wrong, maybe it's my oven. Followed recipe exactly but baked on foil lined pans...at 8 mins. my cookies weren't done (doughy). Baked for another 8-10 minutes and they were done. Okay flavor but lacked something.

Paul's Southern California BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2006
Followed recipe EXACTLY, BBQ sauce was okay. Don't think I'll make it again, I've had better. The thing that bothered me was that everytime I bit into my ribs, my eyes seem to burn a little, what fun is that? Maybe too much vinegar or cayenne? My whole house smelled like vinegar, 2 cups may be a little too much...similar recipes uses only 1/2 cup, etc. I had to read recipe several times to see if I had made the mistake.

Super Fajita Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2006
Did not have coriander & anise, so not sure if that made a difference but I did not like this recipe. Needed salt or something. No flavor, too limey.

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2006
Very good & easy! Did not have onion powder & just threw in chopped onions. I added a little sesame oil after sauce was cooled..I believe that whenever I ate Korean BBQ Chicken (in Hawaii) I tasted a hint of sesame oil.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: May 5, 2005
SO ONO! We love it!! I use my pressure cooker & turns out GREAT, approx. 7 mins per lb of meat. I start timing when reg. rocks. First I season my roast, sear in pan & throw everything else in. That's it. We fine tuned it too our taste buds...no cayenne, hot sauce gave enough heat, & doubled ALL of spices, & used canned chopped green chiles. If roast is too large, just cut in half. Ate w/ corn tortillas & the next day (tastes even better)used the meat on nacho chips. When I finally bought a slow cooker, followed recipe exactly & I prefer the pressure cooker method, you can tell the difference in flavors.
