I'm just a quirkly little gal from Oklahoma who can't cook a darn thing from a mix without burning it, so I tend to rely on the old-fashioned way of cooking things from scratch.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook just about everything- except Macaroni and Cheese, I just think it's disgusting and it smells like an elemtary school cafeteria.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have the honor of cooking up the turkey for Thanksgiving every year, and my husband does the giblet gravy. It has turned out perfect every year (fingers crossed for the future!)
My cooking triumphs
Making two carrot cakes at the request of a realtive for her wedding. It was an honor to receive so many compliments- and I got the recipe for the cake and frosting from
My cooking tragedies
Anything from a mix, labeled super easy is doomed to overflow the pot and burn on my stovetop! Also, I set my grill on fire once- it's now my hubby's job to do the grillin'!
