Good-Morning Banana Nut Cereal

I love this! It's pretty thick so I poured a little milk over it when it was done (but I do that with my regular oatmeal too). I used a dash of liquid sweetener instead of brown sugar and also added in a pinch of ground flax like a couple other reviews mentioned.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

I love the flavors in this! I stopped using butter because with the mayo it just made it way way too oily. I like to add a little garlic powder to the mixture.

Mexican Rice II

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

This sauce is perfect if you tweak the amounts of chili powder and water. I usually do 2-3 tbsp chili powder (depending on the heat of what I've got in the cupboard at the moment). 1/2 a cup of water is plenty in my opinion too.

Creamy Rice Pudding

I love this recipe! I usually use leftover cooked rice for this instead of cooking rice especially for it. I almost always use brown rice and while it doesn't get that super creamy consistency that white rice does it still works out pretty well. Cooktime is a bit longer too.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

This was really good. Dried herbs worked just fine. I think 3 1/2 minutes per side was a little long for the size of my chops so if you have small ones you might want to watch them.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

I don't have a food mill, so I peeled and seeded my tomatoes beforehand and used a stick blender to puree them. I don't think one slice of onion is enough, so I wondered if the recipe meant one sliceD onion.

Honey Baked Chicken II

This was really good. I used leg quarters and less butter as other reviews suggested. Instead of pouring the sauce over it I brushed it on with a basting brush and added more a couple of times throughout the process. I also covered it with foil for the first 30 minutes or so and then took it off for the remainder so that the skin would crisp up.

Baked Zesty Carrots

I really liked the flavor of this! The second time I made it, I did make a few adjustments. Used milk instead of cream, cut down the mayo and butter by half and used crushed saltine crackers. I also used fresh carrots that I partially steamed before baking so it wouldn't take quite so long for them to cook through.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

This was really good! I used bone-in leg quarters and cooked it in my hot air grill. I used Splenda brown sugar blend inplace of the white sugar, but otherwise didn't make any other changes. I'll make this again for certain!

Chili con Carne II

I was a little iffy on using the cinnamon in this recipe, but decided I'd give it a go and I'm glad I did! I served it with cornbread and a good dollop of sour cream and it was perfect.

Paprika Pork Chops

This is really quite good! I only make two chops, but use the full recipe for the topping. I started using garlic powder instead of garlic salt since the sauerkraut is already pretty salty. I usually use bone-in chops since they're less easy for me to overcook.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

This is really yummy! I used half and half in place of the heavy cream and a bit of Italian seasoning as well. I don't think it really needs the sugar so I usually leave it out or just use a pinch.

Creamy Beef Stroganoff

This was quite nice. I used a can of regular mushroom soup (I can't find condensed here) and added a tad more flour. I also substituted french onion soup for the beef consomme. Tossed in a can of mushrooms and an onion, and it was great!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

I really liked this recipe! I was looking for a slightly sweeter cornbread, and this fits perfectly! I have made it both as written (which is very good) and with a few substitutes. Half whole-wheat flour/half white, splenda instead of sugar, and a no-transfat margarine instead of the butter, and it still works splendidly! The texture is slightly different, but I think you run into that with the change in flour. I dropped the cooktime down to about 25 minutes, but I have a little convection oven that cooks things like this at a super-sonic speed!
