Cajun Paella

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
Wonderful dish! This is a good one to just toss together quickly. The boxed dirty rice has enormous amounts of sodium, so we won't eat this too often.

Delicious! I served this as lettuce wraps, with no changes to the recipe.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
My husband loves this! I have to admit...embarrassingly- I left it out at a pot luck, not realizing how quickly it would melt- oops!

Baked Sweet Potatoes

These are the best! A change in vegetables-something different. I always make this when we grill burgers.

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2008
My family loves this dish. I took someone else's suggestion and used ketchup- always on hand. :) Tastes great! The basil is really key in this one. I have also tossed this in a skillet on the stove top, rather than grill it.

Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
WOW! This recipe is delicious. I made no changes whatsoever and it was absolutely fantastic. Easy enough that my 10 year old nephew made this perfectly. You will really enjoy this pie.

I've not made pancit before, but thought I would have some fun. This recipe is delicious and easy. My family and friends really enjoyed it. Thanks for the recipe!

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2013
This is our go to recipe for salmon. My kiddos love it. Alterations include cooking it a little more slowly- 300 degrees until the internal temp is 125, and doubling the sauce. The lower cooking temp and not letting the internal temp get above 140 prevents the 'white stuff' from coming out of the salmon. The family loves to pour the sauce over the rice so more is always needed.

Minnesota Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
I followed some previous advice and precooked the rice a bit to avoid dry chops. The dish is tasty and easy- love that! I will make this again with boneless chops. I had trouble eating this dish with the fatty chops I used. I couldn't see the fat to avoid eating it, and it kind of creeped me out a bit.

This sounds like a good recipe, but I found it bland.

Very Best Blueberry Cobbler!

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
I followed the recipe, aside from adding more blueberries to the dish. There is just too much topping- and it really doesn't taste that great. It is like a giant biscuit. There are definitely better ways to use your precious blueberries. Try the creamy blueberry pie recipe instead.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
I followed this recipe precisely. I found it to be too cheesy, and blah tasting. I had to eat all the leftovers over the next week because my family wouldn't eat this- and I hate to waste food. Sorry.

Cheesy Wild Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
Good idea, but the processed cheese didn't work for me. I will try this again with modifications- different cheese- maybe cheese soup?
