The reason I began to cook and I :)
About this Cook
A mother of a 4-year old boy, I constantly search out interesting ways to serve healthy foods :)
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking pasta bakes, spanish tortillas and full roast dinners. Traditional English cuisine is fast becoming a favourite. I also excel at picnic/buffet foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mothers cheese and onion pie, her hotpots, meat pies and fabulous stews. traditional northern english fayre.
My cooking triumphs
when i first prepared chicken goujons for my son that he didn't complain about.
My cooking tragedies
Not my tragedy, but my dad added tomato paste to a beef stroganoff he was cooking. It turned out pink. We've never let him forget it and this happened 16 years ago............

The Supreme Shepherd's Pie
This was gorgeous, but one point: it isn't Shepherds Pie - its Cottage Pie (Shepherd Pie is lamb, Cottage Pie is beef) Other than that, yummy :)

Tomato and Red Onion Sauce
Its not really a sauce, more a chutney. Its great for chip n dip moments, eating with meats, bruschetta (great idea BBBlues!), pizza topping, and can be thinned out with tomato passata for a pasta sauce.

Traditional Chicken Curry
If you're looking a traditional INDIAN curry, then this is it. If, however, you are looking for a RED curry, then I suggest you try a THAI curry. The point of this curry is not the heat but the flavour.
