Chef John's Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2015
This is excellent. I used a different method, one that I found on another website that allows one to skip the squeeze-drying of the cauliflower. The crust ends up being a bit softer but it is still very much like pizza. The other method requires microwaving the cauliflower for ten minutes after processing it and then using more eggs (4). Nevertheless, Chef John's method makes a slightly better crust. If you like cold pizza (the next day), you probably won't notice any difference.

Cream of Asparagus and Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2015
This is a delicious soup, one of my favourites. I substituted sweet potato for the potato, and this added sweetness. I also used more asparagus than the suggested amount, which thickened it a bit more. Other than that, I followed the recipe.

This is maybe the best broth I've ever had. I'll be making this for years to come. So flavourful, a delight for the tastebuds. Just marvelous. Thank you for the recipe!

A Firefighter's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2015
This is the best moatloaf I have had yet. I made it just as the recipe describes, though I did add a couple of squirts of sriracha. I also added an egg to bind it together. It must be the addition of salsa and the whole grain mustard. Thanks for the recipe!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2014
I have tried this recipe both ways, frying and baking the wings using the method described by the other reviewers. While I think that the wings have more crunch with the frying method, they are excellent (and healthier) baked. The difference is actually quite negligible, though. Fried, these wings are every bit as good as the wings I get at the restaurant or pub. Baked, they are also very nice. When I make them again, I will likely bake them as I don't have to buy oil, they are healthier, and there is less clean up. Thank you to the person who submitted it and to the reviewers who shared the baking method. This recipe is a keeper!

Crispy Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2014
A great method. I used more paprika than the recipe described (about 1 table spoon). But letting the chicken sit for about ten minutes after being coated in flour made a big difference. The chicken was moist and crispy.
