About this Cook
I've always liked to bake even when I was young. As I've gotten older I love to make desserts for my family and family get togethers. I am always looking for great new desserts and healthy meals for my family.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. Any desserts, chocolate cake, cheese cake, cookies, pies. Any sweets!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Almost every Sunday me or my mom cooks a Sunday dinner. I love it because I get to try out new desserts on them!
My cooking triumphs
I took on Thanksgiving (2005). It was a big success for me. I roasted a turkey for the first time, it turned out very good. We even had a deep fried one that was great!
My cooking tragedies
Any bread. I am not good with it! I would love to learn to bake crusty bread. It is beyond me!

Waffles II
Excellent! Followed the directions exactly. These were light and fluffy. These would be great with all kinds of add ins. I'm going to pass this one on to my mom who is always looking for a good waffle recipe to pour her homemade maple syrup over!

Banana Muffins with a Crunch
4 stars because I didn't follow the recipe exactly. I used 1/2 AP flour and 1/2 whole wheat flour. 1/2c. sugar and 1/2c. brown sugar, 3 mashed bananas, and cinnamon. I also substituted oatmeal for the granola because I didn't have any. Very, very good! Moist and very flavorful! Definitely making again!

Amish Sugar Cookies
My 9 year old daughter made these and they turned out great. I halved the recipe because I didn't need that many cookies! Besides that the only change we made was to sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the cookies before we baked them. A powdered sugar glaze might be good over them as well once cooled....
