Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
As good as chilis! I did have some trouble wrapping them though... I would recommend a larger tortilla than what this recipe calls for. Also, you will have lots of left overs for some of the ingredients - like spinach & corn - so I'd recommend making at least 2 batches at a time... they won't go to waste! :)

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
AWESOMELY EASY & TASTES GREAT!! Doesn't get much better than this! I also think it would be good to make sandwiches from - you could even add bbq sauce. Very nice flavor from the liquid smoke & the meat was super tender... its a keeper!

Hawaiian Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
I made this one in the oven, but it was still really good. I poured extra teriyaki in the bottom of my pan & the chicken came out extra juicy. I didn't have time to make the dipping sauce, but the chicken didn't need anything else. It was good all by itself.

Classic Spanish Sangria

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2006
5 STARS! Better than most Sangria I've had in restaurants! I even messed it up a little bit... I read the recipe wrong and poured the rum, wine, & sugar all in at the same time. It was wonderful still!! Also, I used the blackberry wine as some suggested! I'm never letting this recipe go... DEFINATE KEEPER!!!

Strawberry Trifle

Really good & really easy! Love it! Seems like it would be good with just about any sort of fruit too.

American Lasagna

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
Pretty good, but not the greatest I've ever had. But all in all, not bad at all. I used the ready to bake noodles & I wouldn't recommend using those... the bottom layer did not get cooked all the way through.

Great Garlic Bread

Reviewed: May 19, 2006
I thought this was pretty average... didn't seem like anything special to me. Altough the fresh basil was really nice.

Caramel Popcorn

EXCELLENT! Don't change a thing!! I did mine 3 different ways and they all came out great!! If I can do it -you can. I did 1 batch w/microwave butter popcorn, 1 with microwave plain popcorn, and 1 w/air popped and they were all fanastic!

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
This soup was pretty great! I messed it up by having the heat up a little too far, so the bottom got burned. But other than that it was excellent! Great texture & consitancy... nice and thick!! My only suggestion is to add more cheese and maybe less green onion... I like mine super cheesy!

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
Everyone was crazy about this pie but me. I thought it was okay, but needed a little something more (like maybe more cheesecake - less topping?!) But everyone else LOVED it and I had tons of people asking for the recipe. Definalty a crowd pleaser!

Cranberry Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
Pretty good recipe. I agreed with a lot of people that it would be easier and just as good to make as a crisp. My only suggestion would be to make the topping sweeter, it was a little bland. And maybe do something to bring down the tartness of the cranberries... maybe if I used a different kind of apple (I used granny smith like suggested). Overall it was pretty good though.

Hmmm mmmm good! I loved it!! Not overly peppermint like you might expect. Just the right amount! It was also good with a little peppermint schnapps!

Amazingly Good Eggnog

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
I thought this was a good drink, but not good eggnog. It didn't really have much of that good old fashioned eggnog flavor. Pretty decent holiday drink, but more cinnamon or spice drink than eggnog.

Hot Mexican Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2005
Dip is good but could use an extra bit of kick... maybe some additional spices, its a little bland with only salt & pepper. But overall it wasn't bad at all! :)

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: May 3, 2005
These were best after having set in the crockpot for a few hours! Got lots of compliments. I've made a few times now and this last time I made the meatballs & sauce the night before and refridgerated (seperatley) then put in the slow cooker an hour before my party. This worked great, but I recommend at least 2 hours for simmering if you do this to get them totally hot!
