Rosemary Herb Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
LOVED this bread! It smelled amazing baking and my house smelled great for a while afterward. This is a great bread to dip in balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Substituted oil for applesauce and I think this recipe is very good, but maybe a little too sweet. Next time, use the oil.

Jalapeno Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
Maybe I'm just not a jalapeno bread type person, but I found this bread to be bland and unremarkable. The spice level was good, but I won't be making again.

Good, but my Zojirushi Virtuoso came with a recipe almost identical to this...will stick with that one.

Snickerdoodles III

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
When warm these cookeis are blah, yucky, bland and taste chemical. They are not too bad once they are cooled, but I would like to try a different recipe next time.

Hawaiian Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
Husband and I tried this when it was hot and didn't like it so much. The banana flavor was too strong and husband thought the coconut flavor was very pronounced. Tried it again once it cooled down and those flavors although still there seemed a lot less noticeable. At room temperature the flavor is similar to Kings Hawaiian Sweet Bread Rolls, but not exactly like it.

Pineapple Bread

Great tasting bread! The top of the loaf hit the viewing window of my 2lb loaf Zojiroshi machine, so someone with a smaller machine should be aware.

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
Decent flavor. They may look similar to authentic taqueria tacos, but the flavor is far off. Try some real ones in San Diego or Tijuana at Tacos El Gordo or in Chandler, AZ at Mi Casita (I think is the name) I will not be making this recipe again, but it's a good starting point.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
I used just the pudding mix (to answer to some people's questions.) But, something was missing. I think it may have been salt because these cookies tasted a little too sweet at first. These cookies are beautiful and soft. I wish I only used half as many chocolate chips because there seemed to be way too many in each cookie. Also the dough was extremely tough! I had to use the paddle on my KitchenAid since the whisk was not going to cut it for this very thick dough. Despite my reservations I cannot stop eating them...they're not my favorite but they aren't too bad either.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
We thought this was pretty good. It did need about 1 1/2 Tblspns of flour to thicken and 1 teaspoon of cajun and a pinch or two of red pepper flakes to spice up the sauce. Next time I will only use 1/2 green pepper too. Great recipe, just too many peppers for me.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2007
LOVED THEM! I left out the frozen corn & spinach and used a 15oz can of black beans. I washed the beans to get rid of that weird canned bean smell. I used cilantro instead of parsley and pepperjack monterey cheese instead of plain monterey. I used un-cooked tortillas. I warmed them up slightly on the comal and wrapped them tigtly. They stayed put without having to use toothpicks. I froze them overnight. I brushed them with vegetable oil and baked them 450 for about 30 minutes.

Party-Size Greek Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2007
This couscous recipe is the BOMB! I scaled it down to 13 servings since it only required that I use 2 boxes of couscous. I left out the cherry tomatoes since we are not big fans of them...it was delicious!! I will definitely make again and highly recommend using the "Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing" recipe found on this website.
