Chicken Jalfrezi

This was wonderful!! I substituted chicken breasts because it's what I had on hand and used 2 tbs regular butter instead of ghee because I misread the recipe and served it over rice and it all turned out fantastic. The chicken was tender and the dish was flavorful and delicious. My only regret is that I didn't think to buy naan to eat with it!

Carrot Rice

I was really surprised at how good this is, especially since it's pretty easy to make. I've made it twice now and the second time was out of fresh ginger so I just used lots of powdered ginger instead. Use the fresh ginger if you can.

Balsamic Tortellini

Very delicious! Relatively easy to make with changes. Next time I'll cook the panceta first. It seemed to take forever and the onions were done long before it was. Also, the adding the tortellini's back to the fry pan is completely unnecessary and messy. They stick the bottom and everything is already warm anyway. Lastly, I won't add the parmasean. It didn't really add anything to the recipe and wouldn't be missed.

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

I added onions and garlic like some of other people suggested but could only fit half the kielbasa called for in my slow cooker. Even with only half, it still made it very greasy. Would've been better w/ crusty bread on the side. Taste was just ok but it was very filling and very cheap.

Indian Spiced Rice

Very filling and surprisingly easy to make if you have everything chopped up before hand. I liked the sweetness of the raisens and added a lot more than the recipe called for.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

I can't believe how easy this is!! I couldn't find tarragon ANYWHERE and ended up using dried rosemary and marjoram. Still got great reviews from my family. Will definitely work this into my rotation.

Easy Chicken in Wine Sauce

This was really only good b/c it was so easy and quick. It tasted mediocre and didn't absorb any of the flavor of the wine. Maybe next time I'll parboil the chicken in the wine instead of adding it after the chicken is already cooked. Mushrooms wouldn't be a bad idea either.
