Baby BLT

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2007
I added 1/2 the amout of mayo and the other half cream cheese, used chives since they were smaller to squeeze through the pastry bag. Make sure everything is chopped fine. Salting the insides of the tomato adds extra flavor as well. Try you 1/2 metal teaspoon to remove centers of tomato, it works great!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
OMG... my daughter needed cupcakes last minute for school. I had no boxed mix and it was to late to go to the store, so I came on here. I had all the ingredients on hand so decided to give this a try. This has to be the moistest cake I have ever had, almost to moist to remove from the cup cake papers, but well worth it. I won't be going back to box cake mixes again! Thank you for the recipe!

Sausage Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
ran across this recipe by accident, and just had to try it. Made as recipe as directed except per other recipes on the net I changed the spices a bit to 2t cinnamon, 1/2t allspice, 1/2t cloves. and 1/2t nutmeg. Brought it to work this morning for my coworkers to try. It really tastes like a spice cake, can't taste the sausage or the coffee in it, except it does have a different texture, maybe from the sausage. I drizzled the top with a glaze of powdered sugar, touch of milk and vanilla (per other internet recipes). Average review from work: 2 1/2 stars, most workers said it was "good" but not something they would beg me to make again. Hope this helps those of you that were skeptical. Also, baked at 350 degrees and was completely done in 1 hour not the stated 1 1/2 hours.

these were good, I would definately suggest seasoning your flour or bread crumbs, seem a bit bland.

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2007
excellent breakfast casserole. I cooked the onions, sausage and some bacon, red and green bell pepper until tender. Instead of making it in a 9x13 pan I used 2 glass pie pans (I had to add an extra cup of the simply potatos to cover sides and bottom of both) I also used ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese salt, pepper, and 8 regular size eggs. Made the night before, and baked in the morning. Got rave reviews at my work breakfast meeting!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
I make this recipe all the time to take to gatherings, with a few changes. After the brownies have baked, I drizzle them with apox. 1/4 cup kahlua, and instead of chocolate on top, I sprinkle with chopped toffee candy bars like skor or heath.

Bronco Burger

these are great! For those of you that didn't think it was spicy enough make sure you add the jalapeno seeds. I added about half, and combined with the pepper jack cheese they were plenty spicy.

Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
first time making pizza dough, and I seem to have perfected the square pizza! Will try again next time to make them round. I added garlic powder and italian seasoning to the dough and used my mixer with the hook to mix it and knead it. We all thought it was great.

Homemade Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
This was the first time I have made pizza sauce from scratch. Made the first pizza with it and thought it a bit mild, tho the kids loved it. Added extra chili peppers to the sauce and made the second pizza, I thought it was much better. It didn't make it to hot, but had more flavor.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2007
I had printed this recipe months ago, but hadn't decided what I would serve it with. I was given a bag of guatamalan tamales to bring to work to share with my co workers, I now had my dish to make this for. I wish I hadn't waited. This is a wonderful sauce for anything. Everyone asked for the recipe. I made tri tip last night for dinner, and we dipped it in the sauce again, will use the left over tri tip for tacos later this week and I can't wait to use the sauce for that also!!

I used diced red pepper instead of the pimento. Was wonderful, and still had that little splash of red color.

Yummy Roll Ups

I have been bringing these to parties for years, and they all get eaten. I add chopped black olives to the cream cheese mixture and do about half of them with green onion down the center for those who don't like the dill pickle

We like our chicken and dumplings a little creamier, so I double the soup, broth and milk. Other than that its a great recipe.
