Tomato Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
I had half the tomatoes and used half the salt, and one-half teaspoon pepper, the rest of the ingredients I used at the full strength (so double the recipe). It tastes great, like a healthy store-bought sauce. Also, I put in 1/4 tsp. baking soda to lower the acidity.

Oven-Fried Chicken

I have a very similar recipe but it includes a little curry and Old Bay seasoning. They add a depth to the flavors.

It's also very good with Splenda.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
I normally don't add to so many reviews, but here goes. Definitely add more strawberries. I also added a teaspoon of lemon juice and vanilla each. I used 1 Cup of Splenda to replace the sugar. Instead of white flour I used a combination of soy, whey protein, and whole wheat. I processed the strawberries and walnuts (not pecans). It tasted like a mild fruit bread and not like health food.

Easy Fried Spinach

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2005
This is much lighter and milder than I expected. It can easily take on more flavors, but it's fine by itself.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
This recipe works well enough by adding more corn syrup or milk AND by putting the container of icing in a larger container with very warm tap water.

Change the amount of pepper to a few dashes and this is great.

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2005
The spices were not evenly spread on the potatoes, and some pieces were burnt, but since I fried mine on the grill, I was expecting a more rustic experience. Perhaps a little flour would help crisp up the outside or perhaps deep frying. That would increase the oil and calorie count. It was nice for something different with sweet potatoes.
