Johnsonville Italian Sausage Rigatoni

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2014
I LOVE the ease of this recipe!! A quick meal. It actually is a lot like spaghetti, just a different type of pasta. I think I like this better.

Texas Cowboy Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2014
I cut this recipe in half and it was plenty for 4 of us. I also left out the mixed veggies but otherwise made it according to the recipe. As other reviewers said, this is really good!

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2014
I read in the reviews about this being a big hit and how yummy it was so I gave it a shot since I had canned chicken to use. It was a big hit with our family and smelled SO good while cooking!! After reading reviews I boiled my egg noodles for 5 minutes. I only did half the cheese because my oldest son doesn't like things cheesy. I used homemade soup mix instead of canned soup. I only used 1 cup of milk and added salt and pepper. Covered for 45 minutes, then uncovered and added French Fried Onions. The only thing was that some of the noddles stuck to the bottom sides of the dish but if I had remembered to stir it 1/2 way through that would have helped. I will be adding this to my Family Favorites Cookbook. Thank you Sandy!!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
This recipe is worth all 5 stars! I usually make a Cream of Wild Rice Soup with Ham but wanted to try one with chicken. This is a keeper!! The only changes I made was to add chopped up carrots, celery and onions and some minced garlic and I added 1% milk instead of heavy cream

Candy Cane Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
yum! I made this to gift to my kids' teachers but had to sneak a couple of pieces for myself. I added the extra 1/2 tsp others recommended but I thought that it could have used another 1/2 tsp still.

Easy Sausage, Peppers and Onions with Elbows

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
I've made this recipe before but in a skillet so I was excited to see it done in a crock pot...what a time saver! This is a family favorite of ours, though we put the sausage/pepper mixture over angel hair pasta

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
Took other reviewers advise and made some changes. I did 2 cups white flour, 1 cup wheat flour. 1/2 cup oil, 1/2 cup applesauce. 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup brown sugar. I also reduced the cinnamon to 2.5 tsp and added 1/2 tsp nutmeg. It turned out so moist and yummy!!

Cheeseburger Pasta

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
I found this recipe on a can of Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup. That recipe calls for a can of Beef Broth instead of Tomato Soup. Also, look online for a recipe for making your own Cheddar Cheese Soup...cheaper.

The Supreme Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
I did some slight changes to this recipe. I cubed the roast beef, then added some leftover mixed veggies and some home canned green beans and then since I didn't have any gravy I mixed 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 can milk then poured over the meat and veggies. Then I topped with the mashed potatoes. I only rated this 4 stars because some of my family liked this better with ground beef (how I normally make it). This will be a recipe I keep for when I need to use up leftover roast beef.
