I am a stay at home mom to 5 kids! I have a new website called Where we will look at all the sides of Jello: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Check it out and let me know what you think. I like to bake and cook for fun, but hate having to come up with dinner every night.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake and make comfort foods especially soup and desserts. I like simple foods. Every week I make scrumptious whole wheat bread and homemade yogurt.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We get together every Sunday for dinner. Everyone is assigned something to bring. It really doesn't matter what we eat- the company makes it delicious!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime someone gives me a compliment on something I have made and asks for the recipe, I consider it a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
On Thanksgiving I was trying to do too many things at once. I measured thyme for the turkey into the pecan pie mixture, luckily I noticed the thyme in time!

Leftover Pot Pie
LOVE how versatile this recipe is! You can use it with left-over gravy or left-over broth and whatever vegetables you have on hand. I made it using left-over roast beef. I also had left-over mashed potatoes, so I put that on the top in place of crust. I added about 4 Tablespoons of tomato paste to the gravy and sauteed some onions and garlic to go with mixed vegetables. It is the perfect go to way to use left-overs-delish!

Really enjoyed this simple recipe. We used honey instead of sugar. It was super easy and yummy.

Fried Rice Restaurant Style
Use butter instead of oil and it will make it so much yummier! Also, use frozen pea and carrot blend- put in collander and run under hot water to thaw. Add 1 tablespoon water to eggs and beat before adding to pan.
