About this Cook
I love to cook and crochet! And I also started to knit again, although as before knitting is too slow for me. But I will persevere. There are a couple of patterns I want to make because they look so beautiful! I am a bookkeeper, wife, mother, aunt, and someday, I'll be a Nana. and I'll have plenty of blankets and clothing for the little one(s) as I crochet like lightning when I have a purpose!
My favorite things to cook
Anything I have available to make into something different. We had chicken for two weeks straight and it was never the same! Hubby and family are thoroughly impressed. I have to make pierogies every Christmas. And Deviled Eggs for ALL family get-togethers! That's a lot of eggs to peel! :-) (I loathe peeling eggs)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pierogies, Goumpki or golumpki as Americans think it is, Kolacki, knishes, and many other International dishes. I can also cook American food. You have try new things. I can make a meal out of a pretty empty cupboard.
My cooking triumphs
Chinese Pepper Steak. Decorating cakes, etc. Still can't make a perfect rose! Most of the time they look more like a small peonies or fancy pansies.:-)
My cooking tragedies
I have thrown my share of flops in the trash as they were not edible. But that is all part of becoming a great cook!

World's Best Lasagna
If you don't like Fennel, try Anise seed instead. It adds a nice flavor that is not as pungent as Fennel. I agree with those who said more meat and cheese. Less salt for sure. 1/2 tsp. baking soda mixed in till the foaming stops and 1 Tbls. sugar work well. I have not made this recipe, but it is very close to my own recipe; so I am sure it is very good. Recipes are only guidelines. Changing to fit your own tastes is a good thing. Keep on Cookin!

Microwave Peanut Patties
Your recipe works with cashews and maple syrup too! I didn't have corn syrup or peanuts. it turned out great! Thanks for sharing the recipe. I'll try the original as soon as I get the proper ingredients!
