Emily's Famous Chocolate Shortbread Cookies

These turned out perfectly. We made them exactly as shown in the picture, cut into hearts and sandwiched with pink tinted frosting.I did find the dough needed a fair bit of dusting with flour to prevent sticking. About half way through I switched to cocoa for dusting to avoid too much white in the dough. Loved them!!

Luscious Chocolate Truffles

My 12 year old daughter and I made a batch of these and I brought them to the office Christmas party. Super easy and a huge hit. We used peppermint extract instead of vanilla. I'm going to make tons of these all Christmas.

Hot Bean Dip

Chili I

YUM! I followed this recipe exactly and it's fantastic. Not too hot either. Don't leave out the cocoa and coffee, it makes a huge difference, even though it's a subtle flavor.

Chris' Bay Area Burger

I was soooo impressed. I never make an untried recipe for company, but I decided to go out on a limb with these. What a huge hit. Gone are the days of egg and breadcrumbs and dried out hockey pucks on the grill. These were super juicy, even though we thoroughly cooked them, and the flavour was perfect. I ALWAYS tweak every recipe, but this one will remain untouched. :)

Prawns of Passion

I made this with about half the butter, it was super easy and very yummy. Last minute I had to make it stretch for company, so I tossed it with some pasta, steamed spinach and cream cheese. Mmmmm.

Grandma's Eggless, Butterless, Milkless Cake

Excellent recipe. I didn't have any cocoa and it still turned out great. It tastes just like a cake I make regularly that has milk, eggs and butter! I sprinkled coconut on the top before baking, which added a bit of interest. I found I had to bake the cake a little longer than recommended. It's a very moist cake that's quite sweet.

Rice with Black Beans

This was a nice basic recipe. Very easy. I added chopped garlic, lots. I also only had one tomato in the house, which didn't really equal the right amount, so I added a little spaghetti sauce. We really enjoyed it with corn tortilla's and some sour cream.

Chocolate Waffles I

I make these all the time now. Great chocolate flavour. They are quite pancake like in texture, but my husband prefers pancakes, so everyone wins. Try it with ice cream for a really special Saturday morning breakfast the kids will flip over.

Jacky's Fruit and Yogurt Muffins

Awesome recipe! Very easy, moist and yummy!! My muffin hating husband even liked them. I used banana strawberry yogurt, 2 chopped frozen bananas and a tin of strawberries. Topped it all off with toasted coconut. I found I had to bake them 5 minutes longer. I will be making these again and again.

Excellent. Easy recipe, makes lots of cookies. The texture is flaky and buttery. My daughter isn't crazy about jam, I think you could just leave it out or press a nut in the middle instead.

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

This marinade made the meat very tender compared to others I've used. I think because my family has very bold tastes, next time I need to add way more garlic to it and maybe even a touch of hot sauce. We didn't notice that there was a great deal of flavour.
