Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
This was so bland! It was tender and juicy but had absolutly no flavor. Yikes!

Angel Pudding

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
I think this might be even better if you mixed cool whip into the pudding to make it more of a mousse. I used 3 and a half Butterfingers. It turned out pretty good. I would suggest you make this just before serving so it won't end up soggy.

Army SOS Creamed Ground Beef

Reviewed: May 20, 2006
I used ground turkey and extra wortscheshire (however the heck you spell it), to try to add some flavor to this recipe. If you have picky eaters, they may love this because it is so basic and bland. My two year old chowed down! This would be a great recipe to add things to i.e. mushrooms, garlic, onions, seasoning, etc.

Easy Yummy Chinese Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 20, 2006
First off, using pre-shredded cabbage and a bag of salad mix saved me a lot of time! I made the recipe following the directions but omitted the cilantro because I didn't have any on hand. When I tasted it, it was a very savory taste as opposed to a sweet and sour taste you would expect. I sprinkled sugar over it and kept mixing it in until it tasted the way I liked it. It worked very well. Some reviewers have commented that it is too oily. I used a large bag of cabbage and a small bag of salad mix. It was not oily at all this way. IF you are afraid it might be too oily for you, add a little dressing at a time to suit your taste. Overall, a tasty and easy salad! P.S. So I'm eating this salad and thinking to myself, "Gee, I wonder if adding mandarine oranges would be good?". So I frantically look through the cupboard for oranges and to my dismay there are none. However, there is a can of pineapple. So I added a whole can plus some juice, and wow! This is now a FIVE STAR SALAD!!!

White Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2006
I think more than anything, this sauce brought out the smokey grilled flavor of the chicken. It's a very light and delicate sauce. You would think it would be a little more acidic with the vinegar, but it's not. Nice!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2006
So yummy! I highly recommend you grill your salmon on a cedar plank! You can get one at most grocery stores at the meat department. Just ask. The flavor is soooo nice! I ran out of time and only marinated my salmon for 20 minutes. I think longer would have been better, but it was wonderfully delicious nonetheless!

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2006
I was really looking forward to this recipe but was a bit disappointed. My kids loved it because it was sweet. I like the sweet too, but if it's going to be sweet it needs something to contrast it like sour or spicy. It just wasn't there. After I added a jar of sauerkraut, I thought it was better. I would add extra spices or vinegar or something to make it a little more traditional and less bland and sweet.

Aimee's Quick Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2006
I didn't like it at all. It was really salty and the bottom of the chicken had the teriyaki flavor while the top had the mustard flavor. My husband liked it. I thought it was just too weird and salty. Maybe combine the mustard and t. sauce?

Cat Poop Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2005
O.k. I gave this five stars for the presentation. I took it to my church Halloween party and people thought it was hysterical! I really made realistic looking poops! Curled ones, straight ones etc. Now for the taste. These are not the best cookies by any means. I added brown sugar to try to help out with the flavor, but they are just very floury and dry. If I could rate the taste I would say more like two stars. I'm sure their is a better recipe out there. But really, are we making this recipe for the taste? I don't think so.

Ignacio's Super Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
I gave this five stars because it's amazing what a small change can do to something as basic as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! However, for all you gourmets out there, remember it is, well, peanut butter and jelly after all.

Cream Cheese Mints

I thought these were great! I whipped them up in my Kitchen Aid mixer. I even used cold cream cheese and they blended together in about 30 seconds.

Fudge Bonbons

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
These are really good if you are a chocolate lover. Wrapping the kisses in the dough is a little tedious, but worth it! I shape my dough just like the kiss so they look like big Hershey's kisses. I couldn't help but pop one in my mouth for every few I put on the cookie sheet!

Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
I just got finished eating this sandwhich. I followed the recipe to the T. It was fabulous! I make all the recipes just like they are written the first time. This way I can say if it's a good recipe or not. If I start changing it won't even be the same recipe. So...I thought it was excellent just how it was. Salty but not as bad as other reviewers make it seem. Rich but not too rich. After I made it the recipe way the first time, I added fresh sliced tomatoes the second. It was just wonderful! I don't think I can go back to eating regular grilled cheese sandwhiches after this!

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
Sorry but this just didn't do it for me. It tasted like pudding on a cracker. Oh and then there are the little lumps of cream cheese that I couldn't get to go away no matter how fast I turned my Kitchen Aid to. It didn't really matter because you can't tell there is cream cheese in it anyway. I'm serious...it is basically pudding on a crust with some whipped cream on top. Not going to be making this again anytime soon.

Corn Dog Casserole

Kathe- This was a very good recipe! Holy Cow! It was easy, fast and turned out so much better than I expected. We used Kielbasa sausages instead of hotdogs. Everyone chowed down! Thanks a million!

Grandma's Doughnuts

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2005
I've made these before and liked them just as much as I did in the past. I wish I had used granulated sugar and cinnomon instead of powdered. The powdered suger turns to paste. You can also frost these, ice them, put sprinkles on them etc. This is one food that I tell all of my clients (I'm a personal trainer and group fitness instructor) to never put in their bodies. It has no nutritional value at all! I love them though. Don't tell!
