Slow Cooker Carrot Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
Personally I would not have even given this 3 stars had it not been for the fact that my husband sorta liked it. I did not care for this at all. It was very bland and not at all what I had been expecting. I will not be making this one again.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2006
Delicious, delicious, delicious!!! That is the only word to describe this dish. The only change that I made was that I doubled the gravy mixture so that I had enough for my mashed potatoes.

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2006
WOW!!!! This was awesome. I am not usually a big fan of broccoli casserole but my husband had been bugging me to make one so I did and now I can say that I am a fan. The only change that I made was that I used cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom, just because I can not stand mushrooms. But it still tasted great. Even my two year old liked it and she doesn't hardly like anything.

Crab and Swiss Melts

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
This was really good. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because I did make so many changes. First of all, I didn't use the Italian Bread, I used english muffins. I also added about half cup more of crab meat and about a tablespoon of mayo. I also used cheddar cheese instead of the swiss. But boy did they taste delicious.

This had a really good flavor, however, it was way too runny. I also added marshmallows on top and that was really good.

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2006
This was very good. I am not usually a big fan of mac and cheese but my husband loves it so I decided to try this recipe and I was very impressed with it. It was very creamy and I loved the bread crumbs. It added that little extra something. I think I might actually like mac and cheese now. Pretty impressive.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2006
This was so much better that I was expecting it to be. I was a little unsure of the mixture of ingredients but it turned out delicious and pretty easy. I made this for my father who usually isn't crazy about chicken dishes and he raved over this one. Very flavorful and just perfect.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
Delicious, delicious, delicious! That is about the only word to describe these scones. I have tried many recipes for scones and this is the easiest and best that I have ever have. I like to serve it with double devonshire cream and it is heaven.

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2006
Very good. I had been looking for a recipe like this. I used to have this when I went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and always loved it. This was almost exact and it was delicious. I did use everyone's suggestion and double the sauce. Everyone in my family loved it. I can't wait to have the leftovers. Yum!!!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2006
These were pretty good. The dumplings were a little soft for my taste but it had a very good flavor. I did add some carrots and some corn starch to thicken up a little because it was a little too soupy. I also added the chicken broth as others had suggested. Overall, pretty good. Will probably make again.

Wow!!! This was delicious, even better than I thought it was going to be. I did cut the broccoil in half and added about 1 1/2 cups of shredded cabbage. Everyone loved it. Even better the next day. This may become my dish of choice to bring to potlucks.

Party Punch X

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2006
I have been using this recipe for years, however, I have actually never made this with the rainbow sherbert, my family has always used lime sherbert and it is fantastic but I am sure that the rainbow sherbert would be just as good. It is always a huge hit at our parties. We usually have to make about 3 or 4 batches of it cause it goes so quick.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
Very good pizza sauce. I did make just a few changes. I did not have any honey on hand so I used 1 tablespoon of sugar instead. I also used garlic poweder instead of minced garlic and I used dried minced onions instead of onion powder. I also did not use the anchovy paste. Overall, the sauce was very good. I will definelty be making this pizza sauce often.

White Chocolate Fudge

Very good taste. I did have a little trouble creaming the cream cheese and confectioner's sugar- seemed a little dry, so I added just a tiny bit of milk. Other thatn that, it was very good.

Cherry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
My mom has been making this exact recipe for years and now I make it as well. The first few times that I made it it turned out too soupy which is odd seeing as I made it exactly as my mom does then I tried omitting about 1 -2 tablespoons of the lemon juice and ever since it has turned out right. This is the only cheesecake that my family ever makes and we all love it!!!

Key Lime Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2005
This was a pretty good recipe. I did make a few changes though. The first time I made it I made it exactly how the recipe said and it had too much of a lemon tast not enough key lime. The second time I used a white cake mix instead and added 2 more tablespoons of key lime juice and 3 drops of green food coloring. It turned out much better. Overall a good recipe though.
