About this Cook
Currently a stay at home mom. I cook for a toddler, a vegetarian, and a picky man who hates onions, cheese and black eye peas. I am an adventurer though, I'll try anything once..
My favorite things to cook
I like my food to be both savoury and sweet at the same time... I love great vegetable recipes they need to be the star. I am just really learning to cook beef in the last 2 years.... good stuff....
My favorite family cooking traditions
heavy on the fresh vegetables. My Georgia family is more into soul food.
My cooking triumphs
I have made some great cheese cakes, and steaks...
My cooking tragedies
I have messed up some short ribs repeatedly... I will keep trying...

Tender Potato Biscuits
Thanks for this. I won the battle over leftover potato salad with this recipe! My little one and I made these with no changes except using pureed potato salad instead of mashed potatoes & we turned the oven down to 350, as ours runs a bit hot! They were so good! May try drop method next!

Almond Oatmeal Cutouts
I decided to take a chance and use a unrated recipe, but I struggled with this one. the flour here wasn't enough, my mix was very liquid until I added a little, didn't measure, just added until it looked like cookie dough. It smelled heavenly and tasted good as a dough. but I noticed no egg or binder. Also, and this may be why I've never seen them before, but old fashioned oats don't cut into cookie shapes well. I ended up rolling and flattening them. 15 was too long, 8 seems perfect, especially considering there is no rise nor egg to cook.

Fluffy Pancakes
I have made this recipes about 40 times since finding it about 3 mos ago. My daughter won't eat anyone's pancakes but mine! one tip: This morning I forgot to add the butter, and they were better than ever. Lighter, taller, fluffier! Soaked up the syrup and kept its texture! AWESOME! THANKS SO MUCH!
