Alfredo Sauce
Yummy! The Sauce I have been searching for! The beauty of it is you can make it exacty as written and it is great, or you can add your own little somethings to change it up. My additions: Sauted some finely chopped onion and garli in the butter. I added some chopped sundried tomatoes once the cheese went in and then I added strips of left over turkey breast. At the very end I added a can of diced tomatoes, drained and a little pre-heated. Mixed it all up and served over penne. BF raved! Have a little left over for lunch, we will see how well it re-heats. Next time I plan on adding some red pepper flakes for a kick! Thanks for the recipe!

Favorite Bourbon Pecan Pie
Total Disaster. Rating based soley on the outcome I would give this 1 star. But to be fair, I don't know if it was such a disaster because maybe I did something wrong? First of all, the recipe calls for a 9" deep dish pie crust. The filling however, only filled up about 1/2 inch of the pie dish. While cooking, it "rose" up to about halfway up the crust, but once it came out and cooled, it deflated down to maybe just 1/4 inch of filling. And what little there was, tasted awful, very eggy and not yummy at all. The only change I made to the recipe was that I used brandy instead of bourbon (all I had on hand). What I am wondering is that I used egg beaters instead of whole eggs. Would that have made such a huge difference? I am hesitant to even attempt this again.

Pumpkin Pie III
My BF said "This is probably the best pumpkin pie I've ever eaten!" Thanks! I did make a couple of minor changes: I used ginger snaps for the crust, added 1 TB pumpkin pie spice instead of the cinnamon and ginger, and used fat free evaporated milk. It was awesome! It was so good we ate it up in 3 days (just the 2 of us) and he begged me to make another one. It was so simple to make I didn't mind, and for the second batch I substituded 1/2 of the sugar for no-calorie sugar (like splenda for baking) and didn't notice any difference! This will be my go-to pumpkin pie for sure!
