Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Thanks for sharing your recipe. I was short a couple ingredients - the smoke & celery seed, but it still worked out great. Everyone enjoyed it, including my husband - that never eats BBQ sauce!

Super recipe! All kids & husband enjoyed it, it's a keeper! I used a medium sized onion, rather than a small one & made a hot water pie crust from scratch.

Ricotta Cookies III

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
I doubled the batch, skimped on the flour a little (ran short) & they were excellent. I didn't do the frosting part , just sprinkled the tops with confectioners sugar with some cinnamon & ginger powder added. We all LOVED them! It's a keeper. Next time, I'll try adding anise oil to the batch & use straight confectioners on top, I think it would make a great Italian cookie. Thank you for sharing.

Amish Bread

Thank you. Great recipe, it's a keeper. I made it by hand, doubled the batch, followed the recipe exactly - doubled everything, but reduced the water by 1/4 cup. Next time I double, I'm going to reduce the water by 3/4 cup, because reducing by 1/4 wasn't enough.

Excellent! My family enjoyed these brownies. I also used 12 tbls cocoa powder and 3 tbls vegetable oil instead of the 4 unsweetened chocolate squares. Search is over - this is the recipe I'll keep.

Kids loved it. Used what I had on hand, 1 apple & 1 banana & made the brown sugar - 1 cup white sugar to 2 tablespoons molasses. Also added cinnamon & nutmeg.

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2006
I followed the recipes exactly as directed. I've made it a few times & find increasing ALL the herbs/spices a bit (heavier handed on the garlic & onion powder) & the addition of celery salt makes it superb! I also add a little milk to thin it out a little, so it pours easiler.

Zeppole

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2006
I followed the recipe as directed, increasing the sugar to 1 TBS as recommended. The zeppoles were VERY light & airy. I'm giving 5 stars for a doughnut recipe everyone loved, but I have to keep searching for a zeppole recipe to duplicate the ones made in New York. Zeppoles you buy in NY are more dense/doughy.

Veal Stew

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
Fantastic! My husband says he agrees carrots & celery can be added, but it's fine just the way it is. I increased all ingredients, except the veal to stretch the recipe. My husband says it's like a goulash/stew. I served it over mashed potatoes & everyone was happy! Thank you for posting it Marie!
