Mandarin Mixed Green Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2012
Excellent dressing!! will use this over and over. I used sliced almonds, clementines, as I did not have mandarins but kept everything else the same. It so easy and uses everyday ingredients that I have on hand, thank you for sharing :)

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
Thank you Gudny for this recipe. It makes a wonderful crust, slightly crispy, yet still soft, and we all loved it. I did add italian spices, garlic and herbs as I love a lot of flavour. I tripled the recipe, making 2 batches on the dough cycle of my bread machine, and let the dough sit until I was ready to make the pizzas. It made 3 pizzas, with enough for a 4th, but I am going to try garlic sticks out of the 4th ball of dough. I also used a pizza stone sprinkled with cornmeal, baking at 425 Yummy!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
Excellent bread, I used all purpose flour, made the dough in my breadmaker then followed instructions as written. Thank you so much Peg! I'm going to try cinnamon raisin bread, and dinner rolls with this dough as well.

Rocky Road Ice Cream

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2011
Wonderful! I did use the can of sw cond milk, 1 c heavy cream, 1/2 c light cream and 1 1/2 c evap milk which is about 1 can. As others suggested I chopped up chocolate covered almonds, mini milk chocolate chips, and I used bits of chocolate swirled marshmallows. My family loved it. An extra note: I used the base of this ice cream omitting the cocoa, adding vanilla, and using chopped oreo cookies to make a cookies and cream ice cream. I made it for our Thanksgiving to go with pie. There were many mmmms, and yums for the ice cream and as my sister in law said, you cannot buy this taste in the stores, there is no comparison! Thank you again sugar cookie for this recipe, I will be experimenting often!

Excellent! I used half water and half orange juice and a tiny bit of stevia. Will never buy canned again! I don't know why it took me so long to try this :)

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
Awesome recipe!!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us!! So versatile and yummy! I just found this recipe a few days ago and have made it 3 times. The first 2 times, I halved the recipe for small dinner rolls and the 2nd time for larger rolls to be used for lunches. With the rolls for lunch, I sauted onions and put on top as they were rising the second time. Turned out wonderful! Tonight, I shaped into oblong rolls for oktoberfest sausages, again-wonderful. So easy to make, foolproof and delicious. I didn't use the 1/4 cup butter, and we didn't miss it at all. I highly recommend buying a bread machine if able, I bought mine at a yard sale for $5 and I use it so much, I bought another at a different yard sale to use at our trailer. I will definitely be using this recipe at our trailer for lots of bbqs and trying many variations! I would rate this as 10+ stars if able!!!! Thanks again for sharing!

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
A wonderful base recipe, but i did give 4 stars just because i made some changes. First I doubled the ground beef, used 1 tsp each salt and pepper. I omitted the milk, and used 1/4 cup sauce instead. I also tripled the sauce, using 2 cans tomato sauce and 1 can pasta sauce, added some chopped garlic and fresh roma tomatoes but only used 1 tb brown sugar.I found that to be just right, not too sweet. Definitely use leftover cabbage to cover the rolls so they don't dry out. I pour 2/3 of sauce over rolls then remaining sauce over the layer of cabbage. I then cooked them in my oven at 325 for about 2 hours. The time would depend on how big you make your cabbage rolls. They were so delicious- specialty stores/restaurant that sell cabbage rolls don't even compare.

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
One word: AWESOME!! I use the large loaf, medium crust setting and it turns out absolutely perfect.I joked with my husband, we will now need two bread machines so we can make two loaves at a time as one isnt enough :) I'll be baking this bread for our Christmas brunch with family, I'm sure it'll make awesome toast(we have never had any leftovers to try it yet). I tried many recipes but none has come close, I will never use another white bread machine recipe again. THANK YOU KAREN!

Tortillas I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2007
I made these tortillas tonight for supper and received rave reviews from my 17 year old, he told me 3 times throughout supper how great they were. I will definitely be using this recipe often and am now thinking of purchasing a pasta machine for this purpose. Because I used these for chicken caesar wraps, I added garlic to the recipe. Can't wait to try other flavour combinations! I have some dough left and am thinking of mixing in cinnamon and splenda to use for snacking on instead of chips. I will not use store bought again, I love the idea of controlling what I put in them, and no preservatives. Awesome recipe, thank you for sharing Esther!

Floating Island Punch

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2007
Awesome recipe! I had to organize the Valentine's party at work and this punch was a huge hit! I did substitute the orange concentrate with fruit punch, used raspberry sherbet, halved the sugar and used sprite in place of the carbonated water. It was a pretty pink colour for Valentines day and I have handed out the recipe many times over already. Thank you for sharing Kathy!! I will be using this for all our work parties and trying different flavours and sherbets according to the particular theme, perhaps even adding some food colouring for St.Patricks and lemon lime sherbet..mmm.

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2005
Absolutely the best! I have also used this for sub sandwiches, and as garlic bread so I omit the egg wash step. I cannot stress enough how awesome it is, I have made it on a daily basis for 2 weeks now and my family loves it. My son is taking a hospitality/tourism course and because cooking is a requirement, they made french baguettes which he enjoyed. Of course, he never brought the recipe home so I searched for one. He said this is the best and everyone I have shared it with or given a loaf to has commented on how great it is. It is so easy to make and so delicious, my search for the best baguette recipe has officially ended :) Thank you so much for sharing this recipe Judy!!!!
