Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
I used this recipe for the idea and adapted it to my tastes. I used a kroger brand crust (taste better than boboli)then I mixed together 2 pkgs 1/3 less fat cream cheese, about 2tbsp of buffalo wing spice, a couple dashes of Frank's and 2 heaping tbsps of mayo (I made 2 pizzas). I spread this on the crust then shook a few more drops of Franks on top, on top of this I place chicken I had marinated for a night and cooked in nothing but Franks, then I layered 1/2 sharp cheddar and 1/2 motz. cheese, sliced carrots and celery on the cheese and as a final topping I sprinkled the pizzas with blue cheese crumbles. This was so tasty, there was none left and several people asked me for the recipe.

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
these are so good! I made them exactly as recipe calls for..only thing I did differently was cool after then when ready to eat I added them to a crock pot on high to reheat and covered with a bit of extra sauce. By the time I went to get one there was only 2 left...and I only got 1!

Mexican Layered Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
I have been making a version of this recipe for years..layer of refried beans, then guac, then sour cream with the seasoning mixed in (no measuring, just to taste) then shredded lettuce, drained salsa, then a layer of mexican cheese, black olive, green onion and jalapeno slices sprinkled on top. I have never personally tried this (can not stand taco seasoning or black olives) but my fiance' requests this for any function, gathering...weekend. Everyone always raves about this, I am constantly asked for the recipe and there is never any left.

Double Chocolate Crumble Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
I thought these were really good as did everyone that tried one, the only change I made at the time was to add about an extra half cup of marshmallow to the layer for a nice even coating...however, next time I make I will make a couple of changes..I didn't think the peanut butter came through enough and would add peanut butter chips to the brownie layer, would also increase the brownie layer by half as it seemed a bit thin, I would also add more crispies to the top layer for extra crunch

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2007
Very good salad, smells and reminds me a lot of potato salad. As other have stated, very sweet, I added just under 1/4 cup of sugar and still found it to be a bit on the sweet side, found myself adding salt and pepper as I was eating...will make again but add sugar gradually by taste. Also, used sweet relish as that was all I time will use dill. Overall very good.

Broccoli Casserole I

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2007
This was a good basic recipe to start from. I modified it to my personal tastes and from what I remember of the one mom made when I was a kid. I added shredded chicken which I cooked in just a bit of ev olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. I sauteed the onions in buter and garlic and threw in a chopped up a fresh jalapeno(half seeded, half not) for a bit of kick. After the onion mix was ready I added the broccoli and then the soup to the pan, 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 can of cream of chicken...I also added about 1/2 cup of sour cream. when this was warm I added the cheese, I used shredded sharp cheddar. When everything was melded together on the stovetop I poured over the chicken/rice combo already in the pan and mixed it all together. Was very tasty...will make again.
