Storm of the Century Hurricane

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
Wow oh wow!! My husband and I aren't big drinkers and this drink packs a firm punch! Way too much alcohol for my taste and I had to delude it with more orange juice to even make it drinkable. My husband only drank 1/2 a small glass. If I make this again, I'll not use 3 different rums, just one will do.

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2007
This is a good basic recipe. Much too mild for my family but it has a great texture. I'll try a can of tomato paste too next time. I added Chalula, Tabasco,Black Pepper and more salt to make it spicier. Will definately make again!

Cheddar Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2007
My family can't get enough of these even when I make a double batch. My six year old sneeks them out of the bowl before dinner as if they were cinnamon rolls or candy. This recipe is a keeper!!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2007
These wings are to die for! I also used Frank's hot sauce and the flavor is fantastic! My husband loved them so much I'm making them again tomorrow and doubling the recipe for Super Bowl. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Thanks for the recipe.

Frozen Summer Slush

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2006
This drink was very, very good. I made it and froze it virgin because I thought the kids might like it. They didn't but my husband and I loved it. I will make this again and again. Very refreshing!

Cherry Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2006
This recipe is awesome! I found that if you don't coat the entire enchilada with the sugar mixture, they do tend to be soggy and chewy. Definitely have to soak them for a long time. I soaked the enchiladas for two days because life gets in the way. Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
Pecan Pie is always a favorite with my family and this one is dynamite! One thing that should be in the instructions is that the water and corn starch are mixed together before adding to the sugar mixture. I sometimes forget and add the water before I remember to mix it with the starch. The result is either a watery base and end up cooking the sugar mixture longer.

Cathy's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2006
I made half of this recipe and used the suggestion to coat the pan with cinnamon sugar. It was gone in 10 minutes!! Definitely a keeper recipe but I'll have to make the full recipe next time.

Luscious Spinach Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
This recipe was excellent! But I do agree it was a little bland. Next time I make it (which will be soon!) I'll increase the cream cheese, add some garlic and fresh ground pepper. And to get my kids to eat it, I'll put the artichoke hearts in the blender to get a finer texture. This one is aces!

Bean and Pasta Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2005
This is a very good bean soup and I've tried a lot. My family loves beans and knowing that 6 servings would not do for the 4 of us, I doubled the recipe. I read the review that says the soup is better the next day. Next time I make it, I'll have to triple it to even have any leftovers to check that out.
