An excellent recipe!...just like one I had a few years back (but had lost) - so thank you to the chef who posted this! If considering subsitutions...I used a can of mixed beans and a can of chickpeas...left out the onions and used celery salt instead of the seed. Very minor adjustments as I didn't have the exact ingredients and not alot of time to throw it together. I've already sneaked a few mouthfuls in and it was only made in the past hour! ;)

we are not huge mushroom eaters, but when I made this they disappeared in a flash! Great recipe and really quite easy to make which is a blessing when trying to get dinner on the table in relatively short order.

Wow! So easy to make...and I followed some alt suggestions as posted by previous reviews...breadcrumbs and the use of eggs. Jeff has given us a fantastic recipe that I will definitely make again and again and again!!

these were so good they disappeared in a flash. I've been told to "make a double dose" next time! I don't think I've ever seen my 6 year old inhale food this fast. (and btw - a great winter food for little ones with good proteins added!)

This was incredibly easy to make and scrumptious!...while my son wasn't fond of the "green stuff" (the leeks) my husband on on the other hand couldn't get enough of it!...definately a do over as he was raving about it well into the following day!

This dessert has been a family favorite for the past 20 years or so....it never fails and is so easy to prepare. I especially love that I can now refer it to people here on allrecipes!

in a word - wow! so easy to make and I couldn't keep any leftovers long enough to call them my own. My husband loved this and even my six year old (who tends to be finicky) was eating enough for two. I made it for the first time last week and have already received two "strongly hinted suggestions" via my spouse that I really should make it again...lol Thanks for a fantastic recipe Brigit! (btw - my small alterations includes ommitting the chile and the red peppers as well as the ham)...this is just one of those dishes that if you don't havethe ingredients around (as was my case), all of the other great things about it make up for it! Definately a do-over!

oh my gosh -- SO easy, SO delicious. I had a full crew (12) for thanksgiving dinner this past weekend and they were raving about it. What a fantastic dish! :) Just to add that "canadien" flare, I added a sprinkling of maple syrup flakes on the top.

We followed it to a t, and our dinner guests raved about it! I'm doing a repeat request for easter actually. This was easy, healthy, cost effective and oh -- sooooo good! My five year old loved it as there wasn't any "sauce" he has to worry about either! ;)

WOW! - what a hit and SO DECLISIOUS! I'm not a fan of avocado but I couldn't help myself - went back for 2nds AND 3rds! personally I cut out the olive oil and cumin and blended the avocado in a mixer before gently combining the remaining ingredients. . I also mixed a bit of the cheese into the stuffing before putting onto the yams with more cheese. Yum yum yum! -- excellent!

My "guys" -- both the big one and the little one ;) cannot get ENOUGH of this any time I make it. A fantastic staple around my house!
