Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
Delicious! Made cloverleaf rolls instead of crescents (rolled 3 balls and put them in cupcake holders). Will make again and again! UPDATE: Have made these one houndred times. THE BEST! I make the dough in the breadmachine. LOVE this recipe!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II - Custom

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
Absolutely delicious! I dipped the chicken into egg before coating with the flour/paprika mixture (which I doubled). I also added about 1 teasp. chicken boullion granuals to the cream sauce. Cut the chicken before serving like picture #26 and drizzled sauce on top. Not a morsel was left - My family LOVED it!

Alley's Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
I've made this recipe many times - it is awesome with no changes. However, using frozen vegies work really well (I substitue 2 cups frozen vegies for the carrots and peas). Still use fresh celery. Delicious!

Ranch Dressing II

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2010
Loved it... 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup buttermilk as others have suggested. Also, I added ground peppercorns to make it a "peppercorn ranch" dressing that my family favors. Rest I kept the same. DO NOT be tempted to taste the dressing before putting it in the refrigerator to chill (because it won't taste very good until after it has had a few hours in the refrigerator). Thank you! This is a keeper!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Very, very good. Made for the first time today. Followed recipe exactly. Next time I will use Guiness beer (instead of a lighter beer) and also rub salt and garlic powder onto the meat before cooking as others have suggested. Excellent and very yummy!!!!! UPDATE 9/20/11 - I'm leaving this is a 4 star recipe. I've made it many times. The meat always seems a bit dry. I'll cut down on the time I cook it in the crock pot. I melt provolone cheese on top and saute green peppers and onions to go on top for those want them.

Quick Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
I have made this excellent and QUICK recipe a few times. Really good as written, but better with the following modifications: Flatten/tenderize chicken breasts so that they are 1/2" thick. Mix marsala and golden mushroom soup together before pouring over chicken breasts. Add sliced muchrooms and chopped green onion as suggested by others. I serve over homemade egg noodles - DELICIOUS! Whole family loves it!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2009
Followed recipe exactly... It was OK - chips got soggy. None of us were a big fan of the overall taste, so likely won't try it again.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
Delicious. Freezes well. If you decide to freeze, be sure to defrost completely before putting in the oven. UDATE 8/28/10: Very forgiving recipe. It is five stars following the recipe exactly. I've changed it around a bit using cream of mushroom (and once cream of celery) instead of cream of chicken. I've also added bacon. I very seldom put the cornflakes on top anymore - delicious without them. Love this recipe!

Corn and Avocado Salad

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
Recipe was very good. Other than adding some tomatoes, I followed the recipe as is. Salad dressing a tad too sweet - would use 1/2 the honey next time. Also, the corn, avocado, peppers, bacaon, etc. were very "heavy" and made their way down to the bottom of the salad bowl - next time I will arrange the salad on individual salad plates and drizzle the salad dressing on top for a more appealing and dramatic look.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Perfection! Easy and delicious. Use a little milk to make the icing thinner - works better than the corn syrup.

Spicy Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
Superb! Family loved it. Had only two slices of American cheese, so I only made two sandwiches with Amercian cheese - the rest with shredded cheddar. The cheddar tasted great too!
