About Me
Like most working moms, I have a hectic schedule - especially as my children (currently ages 11 and 14) have grown older. Even with all of the after school activities, we make family dinners a priority. I've started my first blog on with weekly supper menus (from my home to yours). When I first subscribed to years ago, there were a couple of cooks that blogged their weekly menus that were very helpful to me. Hopefully mine are helpful to some of you!
My favorite things to cook
Just about anything but fish. Other than tuna, I'm not a fan of fish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Roast beef dinners. When I was growing up, my entire family (aunt, uncle, cousins) had lunch at my grandma and grandpas house after church. My grandmother served roast beef every Sunday. When you walked through their door, the familiar aroma of roast beef, potatoes and green beans filled the air... absolutely nothing beats this memory and the sweet memories of sharing time with my family on Sunday afternoons.
My cooking triumphs
My family (especially my husband) are very appreciative of home cooked meals and the food I prepare. Their appreciation for family dinners together and home cooked meals are most rewarding.
My cooking tragedies
Quite a few! The key is to try the recipe a second time if it failed the first. Oftentimes, the recipe is a "keeper", so don't give up when trying something new.
