Beef Tenderloin in Creamy Porcini Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
This was very, very tasty. It was the first time I had used dried porcini mushrooms, and I am now a big fan of them. At the end, I did thicken the gravy with a bit of flour. I think next time I will skip the roasted potatoes in exchange for garlic mashed potatoes. And I like the idea of adding a tbsp or 2 of bordeaux to the gravy. I think that would take it over the top.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
The men in my family loved it. I did too. It's wonderfully tasty base made me think about all sorts of ways I will use it. To this specific recipe, I would add 1/2 a cup of corn, or peas next time. Thanks for sharing, it's a keeper

Jen's Fresh and Spicy Salsa

Wonderful flavor. Used only 1 pepper as that is all I had, but thought it perfect. Added just a squeeze more of lime.

Turkey Veggie Meatloaf Cups

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
The first time I made this, I didn't like it but I don't remember why. Last night it was juicy and tasty. I did make a few changes this time, only because of what I had on hand I did not have couscous, used breadcrumbs. Don't own a food processor, so skipped that step. Doubled the mustard. Devoured by all, no left-overs. I am glad I tried it again.

Tropical Grilled Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
I thought this recipe sounded fresh and tasty, but the ingredients added little if any taste. Perhaps if marinated overnight? I may try that as I was a fan of the ingredient list.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
It is indeed, very, very good. As per another reviewers suggestion, after removing the meat, use the marinade with other veggies. I added it to tin foiled packets of onions and mushrooms. Amazing.

Gobi Aloo (Indian Style Cauliflower with Potatoes)

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
I must have made several mistakes with this recipe. In hind site, my main mistake was not doing a trial run. My potato cubes must have been far too large, as they were rock hard after the given cooking time. After another half hour had past, I dashed to the computer in a panic to read your reviews. A few of you had also had this problem, so I followed your advice and starting adding a good splash of water with each periodic stir. In all, I would have added an extra cup of water over an additional half hour. But it still tasted so bland. Not knowing what else to do, I added a good shake of curry powder and then half a cup of cream. My family ate it, but didn’t comment one way or the other, which was a disappointment after all the time I had invested. Ah well . . . we all have recipes that beat us.

Fish can't get much better than this. I did follow all the recommendations by (Reviewed on Oct. 30, 2006 by Shannon) and was thrilled with the results. As were the entire family. There were no leftovers, even from the children who always have leftovers when it comes to fish. Thank you for the recipe. We will make again.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

I was disappointed. Whilst the meat was very tender, the gravy was not good. Too much wine taste for me. I will try again, but will use only 3/4 of a cup or red wine.
