Lentil Soup I

Everyone asked for more. I used chicken stock instead of water and boillion. I did not use cloves.

Delish! Enjoyed by all. We served with plain jasmine rice as the sauce is spicy enough.

Puff Pastry Salmon

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2014
I am glad I tried this recipe as it showed me how easy puff pastry is. As Danigirl days, it really does only take a few minutes. After reading a few reviews, I did up the seasoning, and I added a few cubes of feta. I used extremely well-drained frozen spinach and had no issues with a soggy crust. It was in fact delightfully crispy. I finished with a creamy white parsley sauce as it goes so well with salmon. Thanks Danigirl.

If I had only known how simple it was to make this so loved soup ... Ah, well, now I do. Such a rich and deep flavorful broth. Perfection. Thank you so much Chef John.

Just perfect. Served with a traditional sweet white sauce. In Wales, we would even hide a sixpence in it.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

My family thoroughly enjoyed this meatloaf so it's the one I'll use going forward. Tonight I am going to try this as the filling for "Stuffed Jack-O-Lantern Bell Peppers", on this site. I think it will great!

This is a perfect recipe and I can neither add nor comment anything to improve it. I served with sour cream and chives on the side. javascript:void(0);

Mushroom Stuffing

I can't see how this recipe can possibly work with the quantity of ingredients listed. Even after mega tweaking it was dry and bland to our palate.

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2013
I did like recipe and there were 2 thumbs up all around the table. Not the usual reaction to brussel sprouts in my home. Next time I make this I will use a yellow, not a red onion. I will also try using balsamic, not red wine vinegar. Like other reviewers, after steaming I cut the sprouts in half.

Authentic Saag Paneer

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
We all thoroughly enjoyed this recipe. It was very comparable to what I have eaten in Indian restaurants. Other than the fenugreek, I followed the directions as written. It is not a spicy dish, but it accompanies other spicy dishes beautifully. Thanks for sharing.

Grilled Asian Ginger Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
Being vegan, it's difficult for me to personally rate meat recipes, I rely totally on my family. They enjoyed it. I think next time I would marinade overnight, not the 2 hrs I had time for this on this occasion. The marinade was great for my tofu!
