Man, this was good stuff! Didn't change a thing and won't change a thing. Great with grilled halibut.

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
Not bad but it made the house smell like McDonalds takeout while cooking. I feel like it had a bit too much vinegar in it. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to make this again but it was worth a try and I would recommend giving it a whirl.

Bob's Habanero Hot Sauce - Liquid Fire

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
Oh lord Bob! This is some good sauce. I followed the recipe except for reducing the mustard slightly and reduced the Habaneros to 9 fresh from the garden. Very, very good sauce! Can't wait to try this on some grub. Thanks for the recipe!

Tasty Lentil Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
This was a surprisingly good dish. My girlfriend and I liked as good as meat tacos and it's way cheaper than meat to boot. Cheap, tasty and a super-food! This is becoming a regular recipe in our house.

Sweet Potato Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
I used fresh cooked sweet potatoes instead of canned. Absolutely fabulous rolls! Ate them with some Honeybaked Ham for breakfast. I will definitely make these again.

Best Hamburger Ever

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
I Made these for the Super Bowl. I formed them into small burgers to use on rolls. They were very tasty but had way too much of the onion soup mix flavor coming through. I will only use half the soup mix the next time around. Other than that they were very good burgers. Can’t wait to try them on the gas grill.

Fabulous Football Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
OK I made this for the Super Bowl and feel compelled to add my 2 cents. This recipe by itself looked really bland so I added an extra can of Rotel, a chopped up fresh jalapeño pepper and used Jimmy Dean hot sausage. The recipe does look unappetizing when being made BUT, this was easily remedied. Just add some of that 5 year old turmeric you got in your spice cabinet (adds color but not much flavor since it is so old) and of course some shredded cheddar cheese to it. Voila nice orange cheese dip that doesn’t use any of that fake cheese food product stuff! Never mind that pure cheese isn’t really orange but it did make it look a lot more appetizing. After adding the extras this dip was great and everyone loved it. Because of the changes that needed to be made I rate it 4 stars instead of 5.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2007
This was my first attempt at making pretzels for my super bowl party. I followed the advice of other reviewers and used 3 ½ cups of flour. I don’t know where in the world 5 cups of flour are coming from but do yourself a favor and start with 3 ¼. You can always add flour but can not take it away. Other than that these were really tasty and easy to make and I had fun making them. I will definitely make these again. Now all I need to find is a mustard dipping sauce to make them perfect.

Barbeque Tempeh Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2005
This is really good but I can see how this recipe could fail if you use bad ingredients. The sauce is what will make or break this one. I added garlic and a splash of hot sauce to mine. I used the organic 3 grain tempeh which I like better than straight soy. This is a good start for people who have never had tempeh before. All in all very good. I will be making this regularly.
