Megan's Granola

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
I love this granola because it's so easily customizable, makes a TON of granola and comes out crunchy where other recipes are more soft/soggy. Make sure you know how much you're making when you start - it surprised me the first time!

Cream Cheese Tart Shells

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
these were delicious!!! i used with the simple quiche recipe and it came out really well! thank you! however, these only seem to work well in 'mini' form - i tried to use this for a 9" pie and had a very difficult time laying it down as it wasn't pliable enough.

Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
I followed this recipe exactly and it came out perfectly! With the butter (I used 11 T), I made sure it was really soft, and ended up using my hands to mush and gush the batter to make sure that EVERYTHING was covered in the mixture. This is a healthier way to get my chocolate fix - I'll never go hungry at work again! Thank you! (I think next time I'll add some coconute shreds too, mmm!)

Orange Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
I think I need to find a better-tasting concentrate; it was a little chalky & artificial tasting. Don't skimp on the orange juice.

Greek Lentil Soup (Fakes)

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2007
This is a very lightly flavored soup; although this bothered me at first, I appreciated this (more authentic?) lighter Mediterranean flavor. Great w/ a side of toasted crusty bread and dipping oil!

Lemon Glazed Poppy Seed Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
I expected the muffins to be lemony and sweet. This was not the case. Also, the glaze was too thick and I had to add lots of lemon juice.

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
This is delicious! i HATE bananas, but now i've found a way to enjoy them. :) I used skim milk and added about 1 1/2 teaspoons of ground up oatmeal (I don't like that by itself either). Thanks for helping me be a little more healthy! In the future, for added decadence, I would add chocolate syrup as well.

White Sauce

Reviewed: May 13, 2006
This is a really great and easy recipe that uses everyday ingredients. You can also use this as a quick base sauce for other pasta recipes like carbonara (add bacon, pimentos, onion) or al fredo sauce (add cheese). White wine is also quite good in this sauce. It is a little bland though.

Sweet Rice and Mango

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
I mixed the sugar in with the water, and also substituted some of the water with coconut milk. Unfortunately the mixture came out too watery. I've made great coconut rice with a similar recipe, so I must be doing something wrong somewhere.

Creamy White Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
Quick and dirty sauce; minimal ingredients needed. I added basil, oregano and fresh garlic slivers to add more taste. I also topped the pasta w/ sauteed basil & lemon chicken breast.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2006
this recipe is wonderful! not too spicy, and really moist. :) i used fresh pumpkin instead of canned; i cut the pumpkin up, de-seeded, steamed and then blended it up. i managed to bake this in a toaster oven, so no excuses about it being to difficult! Thanks much for adding in the celcius baking temperature as well.

Soba with Toasted Sesame Seed Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
This is a nice, LIGHT dish, which is typical of many asian noodle dishes - especially cold ones. Yum yum! I made this dish two days in a row! The second time I substituted the balsamic vinegar for rice wine vinegar, and the result was an even lighter taste. Although both are good, I think I'll stick to the balsamic. :) Thank you for sharing!

Sesame Udon Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
This is an excellent dish! It's just tangy enough, and the sesame seeds balance out the tang of garlic and ginger. I added extra toasted sesame seeds. :D Make sure you don't have too much sauce in proportion to the noodles.

Admittedly I leave out a lot of stuff, but it's still great. Adding the rice is a must!

Delicious! That's a good mango lassi. The sugar was just right (but I'm a sweet tooth, hehe) I *must* try it with strawberries.
