Barb's Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
Delicious! I chopped everything in the food processor, even the bacon. I had to substitute rice vinegar for the wine vinegar since I didn't have any and it was still delicious. I used Marzetti's Original Slaw dressing. Will be making this again! ETA-Don't omit the bacon! Even though it's tempting to do so to make it healthier, the bacon adds a great flavor. I did cut it by half and made the bits really small and it was still really good. And add about a cup of golden raisins. YUM! This is my new favorite salad!

Kraft® NUTTER BUTTER Frozen Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
YUM! Crust was too thick in a pie pan so I put it in a small rectangular baking dish (12x7.5) and it was perfect. Tastes good the first day but is even better the second day...if it last that long. I used fat free cool whip and it was fine.

Best Ever Muffins

Love it! I triple the recipe and freeze them. Peach and brown sugar is one of our favorites but you can do anything with these muffins.

I don't like oatmeal cookies but these were fantastic. I added a cup of raisins.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
THE BEST!!! My husband loved this so much that he hid a container of the leftovers for himself in the frig. I did not defrost the chicken breast ahead of time so I had to put it in frozen. It still came out perfect! I followed the recipe exactly and wouldn't make any changes except maybe to add some carrots next time. The biscuit dough dumplings took longer than 30 minutes to cook so I'll put them in a little earlier.

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
This was very good but I couldn't help but think it was a little "breakfasty". It reminds me of a breakfast skillet we get in a restaurant near here. I think I'll top the leftovers with a couple of eggs in the morning and have it again for breakfast. Next time I make this for dinner I'll add onion and garlic and saute the peppers first.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
Perfect!! I added onions, carrots and potatoes the last 2 hours and they were just right. The gravy was a little thin but it was easy enough to thicken it up a bit with a little cornstarch.

Runzas (Bierocks)

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
These were a HUGE hit in our house! I didn't have shredded cheese so I used slices. I put the cheese on the dough then a scant 1/3 cup of the meat filling and folded it up. I did alot of pinching and rolling the dough to make sure it stayed together and it did. Put seam side down on the baking sheet and the cheese will then be on top and will ooze throughout the meat mixture when cooking. I used the Rhodes dough but will make my own in the bread machine next time to add variety...whole wheat, herbs etc. The possibilities here are endless. You can fill with anything. Can't wait to experiment.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
I made this pretty much last minute so I didn't have time to let the sauce simmer for 1 1/2 hours and it was still fabulous! I also used no boil noodles and it came out fine. Next time I'll double the sauce and freeze half of it so I'll be ready for my last minute lasagna craving.

Sweet and Sour Chicken II

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2007
I thought this was good. The hubby and kids thought it was only ok. I added baby corn and water chestnuts as suggested by other reviewers. We'll be having this again even if they didn't care for it as much as me.

Famous Chicken Francaise

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
We loved this! The teenagers and preschoolers all liked it. The chicken was very moist. I followed the recipe exactly. The only thing I would maybe change is to thicken the sauce a little as previous reviewers suggested. The coating won't fall off if you pour the broth mixture around the chicken rather than on top.

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2007
Loved this!! Next time I'll double the rice. I didn't have cream of celery so I used cream of chicken. I think any cream soup would work well. I also didn't have onion soup mix so I used a garlic dip mix and it worked fine. I mixed the dip mix in with the rice instead of sprinkling on top.

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
This was good and easy to make. I used 1 tsp. beef base and half a package of onion soup mix instead of the beef soup mix. I also used low fat cream of mushroom soup and it was fine. It goes well with peas and dinner rolls.
