Antipasto Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
This was an OK dish. I was disappointed in this after reading all of the fantastic reviews. My husband and I thought that the butter flavor of the crescent rolls didn't match the other ingredients. We would probably enjoy this more if we used broad dough instead.

I halved this recipe. I used a whole egg and two bananas. I also crumbled some walnuts on top of the muffins. This was very easy and delicious!

On Wisconsin Beer Brats

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2011
Very nice! We had these on a summer day when it was too hot to be outside. These hit the spot. However, I would like to marinate the brats in the crock pot and then finish them on the grill, weather permitting.

Italian Beef in a Bucket

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
My husband and I loved this recipe. However, we did adjust it a little. He is not a fan of the pickled mixed veggies, so we left those out. I did cut the stems off of the whole pepperocinis. I was unsure, but I went ahead and added the juice from the jar. Otherwise, we followed the recipe exactly. The meat fell apart on its own. I served it with a slice of provolone on a kaiser roll. Yummy!!

Broccoli Salad IV

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
I make this every summer. The only change I made was leaving out the onions, since I do not like them. I make this the night before. That way the raisins have time to absorb the moisture and becme plump.

Prosciutto e Melone (Italian Ham and Melon)

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
My friend and I loved this combination. She kept the handful of leftovers. However, my husband doesn't like this melon. Next time I may try making this with honeydew.

Mama's Italian Wedding Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I used this recipe as a base to use what I had on hand. I used a bag of frozen meatballs. I put cooked them in 2 quarts of chicken broth for 3 hours on high. About 20 minutes before eating, I threw in two handfuls of spinach and half a cup of couscous. This was very easy and delicious!

This was an OK dish. My husband liked it better than I did. I think I would like this better if it was made with beef.

This was very good. My husband made this dish on his own and it was ready when I got home. This was a great use of leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. I will be using this recipe to use extra chicken.

Sauerkraut Soup II

We omitted the dill and onions (personal preference). We did not have mushroom soup, so we used 2 cans of cream of chicken soup. This was absolutely delicious!!! This will be one that is made again soon!
