About this Cook
I'm a full time employee college student; eating healthfully on the go is important to me. Nutrition is what inspired me to go to college.
My favorite things to cook
I love finding lower calorie variations of rich, homemade desserts. I also love to use my slow cooker in every season.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has always enjoyed traditional, American holiday meals. Mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, green bean casserole, giblet gravy. Desserts are usually cake pie.
My cooking triumphs
I recently made a red velvet cake from scratch it was a massive success!
My cooking tragedies
I have allowed myself to be discouraged in the past b/c I have a short attention span. I've once made peanut butter cookies without the peanut butter and blueberry muffins without the blueberries. All obvious mistakes!

Busy Day Chicken
This was so easy! I used boneless, skinless, added some water to cover & pierced the chicken. Once it was done I shredded it & had a spicy bbq chicken sandwich for lunch. Yum! It was dry so I might add more water next time; we'll see if that helps anything.
