Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2005
This was a pretty good side dish. The fries ended up being more bland than i thought. I would add more salt and more spices. Also, it is easiest to coat the potatoes Shake & Bake style (in the baggie).

Ellen Szaller's Mashed Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2005
Loved these, thought they were a great use for some leftover mashed potatoes I had in the fridge. I used my garlic mashed potatoes and served them with honey butter.

Cucumber and Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2005
Was OK. I think the advice about letting the salad marinate is good.

Great taste. I scaled it down, so I had a few issues, but I am willing to try again!

Real Sopapillas

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2005
These worked very well for me. They puffed up nicely (per instructions on rolling them a little thinner). I haven't perfected them yet, but they were so easy to make I'll definitely keep trying.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2005
This was a nice change of pace. I think next time I will grill the fish though. It tasted like Long John Silver's taco style.

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2005
VERY authentic. I loved this. I was so happy when I tasted it and it tasted like actual German potato salad. I will certainly make this to accompany my bierocks again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2005
I really enjoyed this recipe. I think next time I'll double the recipe because it didn't make as many servings as I had hoped. I am used to a more broth-y stew.

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Dipped Apples

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2005
I actually modified this recipe a little. Instead of peanut butter chips I went with white chocolate (my husband is allergic to peanuts) I think it turned out nicely. It was a nice alternative to carmel apples.

Baked Ziti I

Very good. I needed something quick and good to server 11 middle school cheerleaders. They loved it, plus it was so easy to make. I'll definitely make it again.

Cookies 'n' Creme Fudge

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2006
It was so easy. My mom makes fudge with marshmallow fluff. Mine never turns out right...i just dont have the gift. So this is MY fudge now. Also, I used chocolate raspberry chips and omitted the cookies and it was amazing.

Wylma's Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2006
This was good. I will make it again, but it took almost twice as long to cook as it was supposed to. Also, it's very dense, I think next time I'll make it in a casserole dish...it stuck to the sides of my bundt pan.
