Robbi's M&M Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
used butter and these spread like crazy. also, had to cook them closer to 12 minutes + about 5 minutes on the baking sheet after i took them out. used peanut butter m&ms and the flavor was delicious, i just wish they hadn't spread so much and become super thin. i'm sure they'll be a hit at work though. will probably use more flour or refrigerate the dough before baking next time.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
baked 5 breasts for 20-25 min and it was amazing. can't wait for the leftovers. sauce is delicious and smells heavenly. no changes necessary. next time i may experiment with some sort of heat to the dish, but it is great as is! would be good with roasted potatoes too.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
everyone loved these. to do the icing i added a sprinkle of cinnamon and then put it in a ziplock back with the tip cut off to do a pretty drizzle. also added chocolate chips (semi sweet AND milk chocolate) to half the batch and they all turned out wonderful! also did as another reviewer suggested and did 1/2 c brown sugar, 1 c white sugar, 1 1/2 t cinnamon and 1 1/2 t pumpkin pie spice.

Labneh (Lebanese Cream Cheese)

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
loved it! except i wasnt a huge fan of the olive oil at the end. would've rather just stuck with a dash of lemon pepper and salt as a finishing touch. also, i drained the yogurt about 1.5-2 days to ensure full creaminess.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
really creamy and decadent! did as others suggested and cooked fro 6.5 min. also did just under 1c of sugar and did half semi sweet, half milk chocolate chips. used 1 T butter and topped with crushed candy canes (no nuts) for christmas. i made this fudge every year for the holidays and it's always a hit. i think the significant reduction of sugar may have contributed to the slight greasiness of the fudge this last time i made it, but it still turned out delicious and not too sweet at all.

Easy Butternut Squash Ravioli

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
delicious! the cayenne pepper doesn't really do much in terms of heat or flavor, so i either add a big pinch of it or a big pinch of crushed red pepper flakes. didn't do the sage butter sauce, but rather just tossed in butter and topped with freshly grated parmesan. the raviolis come out delicate and subtle, with a comforting butternut squash taste. SO good. will definitely make again and again. oh, also this recipe made a lot so i froze a bunch (laid out on a baking sheet to freeze then threw them all in a bag) and cooked about 3 min, until the raviolis floated to the top.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
used butter instead of olive oil and chicken tenders instead of breasts. true, you have to cut the cooking time WAY down (i think i only cooked them for like 10 minutes) and the crust doesnt brown as much, but the flavor and moistness were great. next time i think ill add a little more garlic (or add garlic powder to the butter poach) and definitely try to use chicken breasts to get the crust crispy.

Boiled Mustard Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
boy made these for me with a dijon-garlic mustard aioli (from trader joes) and peeled baby red potatoes. it was delicious! not too much of a salt flavor, so i had to add that afterward, the texture and the taste were so different than anything i've ever had!! definitely recommend. thanks for the recipe!

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
WOW. these are incredible! used others advice and used an egg instead of the milk-- no problems there. also, used 80/20 and they were perfectly moist after cooking. made my own bread crumbs from a toasted baguette and seasoned them with chicken grill seasoning. also, didnt have any italian seasoning so i did about 3/4 t dried basil and about 1/4 t marjoram in addition to the oregano. added about a tsp of sriracha and these came out with a kick! so good... we put these on the rest of the baguettes with some spaghetti sauce and havarti, instant meatball sub. will definitely make these again and again. oh, also, i had a 1" cookie scoop so i just used that to make these meatballs and only had to cook them for about 8-9 minutes. perfectly moist and tender so make sure you watch them!

this wasn't as easy as i thought it would be to make, and the end result was a bit bland and disappointing. my roommate loved it though.

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
great! changes: added a clove of chopped garlic, used instant mashed potatoes instead of flour, drained the excess water from the zucchini and pressed in paper towels, used fresh grated parmesan, dubliner, and pepper jack cheeses (to equal 1 cup), and cooked in olive oil. i ate these with spicy marinara sauce and they were delicious! also can be eaten as veggie patties on toasted buns with some tomato and lettuce for crunch.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
really creamy and really delicious! i used natural peanut butter (the one with the oil on top) and found that the overall recipe wasn't sweet enough so i had to up the honey about 2x. also, i used rice noodles instead of udon (wheat allergy), and added a touch of coconut milk and toasted sesame oil, julienned carrots, bean sprouts, and shrimp on top of everything else the recipe called for. also, i like it extra spicy so i added about 2x the amount of sriracha. when i was cooking the sauce before adding it to the noodles it looked a bit too runny, but do not worry--the sauce will thicken up over time once you add it to the noodles.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
this was amazing! a few minor changes: didn't add cilantro cause i didn't have any on-hand. instead i added about a 1/4 tsp of ground coriander at the end. also, instead of cayenne i added about 1/4 tsp of crushed red pepper. added these to burritos or tacos to make a delicious, satisfying, and healthy meal!

Golden Brown Ravioli with Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
great! instead of vegetable oil i used extra virgin olive oil to give it a more "italian" taste. i also served these with a side of ranch dressing (and homemade marinara) to give a couple options, and sprinkled with both parmesan and red pepper flakes immediately after removing them from the oil

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
incredibly creamy and delicious recipe. i did as others did and added almost 2c half&half, but i heated it on very low heat first and added the velveeta cubes to the liquid so it could start to melt. i then added that to the penne (no elbows at the store)/butter mixture, and stirred till the velveeta was just started to melt into the pasta. added about 2-2.5c shredded cheese, eggs, garkuc salt and pepper, then baked for about 20 minutes and broiled the cheese on top to get a nice crispy coating. delicious! and everyone at thanksgiving dinner loved it
