Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2013
This was excellent! I used Braggs liquid aminos instead of the soy sauce, and marinated it overnight. Even my picky boyfriend love it, & said the recipe was a keeper!

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2012
My son requested sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving after living in Knoxville for a year. I had never made it before and found this recipe...I will never make pumpkin pie again!!! This was the best ever! And very easy to make! Thanks for sharing it! I peeled, and cut my sweet potatos, 4 large ones, before I boiled them until they were done.

I had the meat browning in the pan for tacos, when I realized I had no mix! Thank goodness for this recipe....no one knew the difference! I will use it from now on...no more packets for me! Thanks for sharing!

Chicken Tortilla Soup III

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
My friend gave me this recipe at work today, and said how good it was. My whole family loved it, and I used up my leftover turkey. Perfect! I was afraid to try it at first because the picture makes the soup look grey...the boys won't eat things that don't 'look right,' however mine came out more like the second photo posted, creamy, and cheesey in color. Thanks!

Aunt Janet's Pumpkin Dump Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
Made this for dinner at mom's, and everyone loved it! They've already requested it for Thanksgiving. I cut the butter into the cake mix, and toasted the nuts prior to sprinkling them over the top, like suggested by other reviewers, and it was YUMMY! I also served it with coolwhip sprinkled with instant mulling spice. This is a keeper!

Grandma's Noodles II

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2007
I usually buy homemade amish noodles in Shipshewana, or pay $3.49 at the local store for something similar. No need to do that now that I have discovered how easy it is to do it myself. And how much cheaper it is! Not to mention, my family was really impressed that I made them myself. I suggest that you at least doulble the recipe if you are making beef, or chicken and noodles. If you are going to the time to make it yourself, don't cut yourself short! Well worth the time and effort!

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

I did not have a food mill, so I put mine in the blender--it worked! Then strained it for a smoother texture. Excellent soup!
