Overwhelming dressing, suggest you make it on the side and add it as needed.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
Mmmmm. The only thing I did different was plump the raisins in boiling water before adding them to the dough. They were better the second day!!!

Nectarine Pie

I thought this was flavorless. :( Disappointed, and I followed the recipe and others suggestions. The best part was the topping.

Bleu Cheese Coleslaw

Followed the directions with the exception of the onion. I let this sit overnight to gain the full flavor. Excellent!

Banana Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
I made this in two pans and frosted in between and on top with cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla. I also cut strawberries and put them in between and on the top layer and sprinkles with walnuts. Not only was the appearance beautiful, the cake was terrific!!! Rave reviews from co workers. I will keep and make this again and again. Oh and I used 4 bananas that were going bad. :D

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
Definitely double the rum and coffee and make the coffee strong! We used a springform pan and needed 3 packages of lady fingers, in order to line the outside of the tiramisu as photo'd. Need to make sure the bottom layer of ladyfingers are not used sparingly, if they are the cream will come out of the pan. Drizzle the lady fingers instead of soaking them, or they tend to fall apart. It did get much better on day two and three!

Raspberry-Coconut Bars

Raspberry and coconut...a combination that most people don't like, but if you do, make them! They were gobbled up at my work, but not while sitting amongst a bunch of other desserts. They are very good!!!

Not your typical slaw, but this is very nice for a summer/fall picnic. I'd make it again.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies VII

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
I reduced the sugar and used white and brown sugar as others indicated. At the end I threw in a handful of choc chips. My co-workers loved these. I did "plum" the raisins in the micro before adding them too. I will make this again, but I will reduce the sugar more. They were sweet, but loved!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
Instead of bread crumbs, I used crushed Cheese It's (parmesan and garlic flavor) to the top and put the butter over it, as indicated. I also added 1/2 cup of milk, next time I will increase the milk. However, this recipe is INCREDIBLE! Added to favorites!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
I made some adjustments and this was AWESOME! I cut up 1/2 way microwaved potatoes and baby carrots to 1/2 pot of water. Once done, I drained and added 2 cans of cream of soup (chicken and celery) with 2 cans of water. Bring to a boil. Add onion and 1 cup of frozen green peas. Simmer. Cook 3 breasts of chicken in the microwave, cut and added to soup mixture. Then I used Bisquick for the dumplings. My family loved this. I don't care for a broth type chicken and dumplings, I wanted a thicker base.

I make this every year for a gathering. They are gone in a flash. I love the taste, just a hint of spice. It's a keeper for a appetizer.

Bacon and Date Appetizer

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2005
Great! I stuffed the dates a week ahead and left them in the fridge. I used 2 different kinds of dates. I recommend the ones found in the produce section, instead of the boxed and vaccuum sealed dates. Those in produce had a hole where the almond easily slid right in, taking little time to assemble. I also decided to roll the dates in BBQ sauce before wrapping with 1/3 slice of bacon. These were a huge hit! I will make them often.
