Grilled Salmon Kyoto

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2006
Pretty good, pretty good. Pudgy hubby was not available for comment, but Anoose thought it was pleasant. Use fresh orange juice and extra ginger, garlic, and white onion as usual. As usual. Served with brown rice and cauliflower. Must try w/ low sodium soy sauce next time, next time. Also, Anoose was dissapointed that there wasn't much discernible orange flavor -- too bad, too bad. Would make again only with a few modifications.

Blackened Tuna

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2006
Excellent dish, excellent dish. Seared blackened ahi is a yummy dinner indeed, indeed. Pudgy hubby loves it too. Use less cajun so it's less salty, less salty. And don't use butter - no need, no need. Cook for a lot shorter time, too - much shorter... about 1 to 1.5 mins on each side for a rare steak. BE SURE NOT TO OVERCOOK and ruin your beautiful ahi. Enjoy, enjoy. (By the way, Anoose that it was quite explosive.)

Almond Crunch

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2005
Oh yeah, oh yeah. The first time I made this I followed the recipe exactly. The second time was yummier because I used 2x the amount of chocolate and my Anoose thought it was wonderful. I had my pudgy hubbie hold the thermometer and pour the toffee into the pan. He thought the dessert was yum-mum-mum-mum-mum-mum-mum-mum-mum-mum-mum-mum-mee. Oh yeah, oh yeah. It's great for pudgy humbbies everywhere! (and sensitive Anooses) --Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Kung Pao Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2005
Oh, yummy!!! A little spicy for my Anoose, but with less chili paste it is mad tasty. Oh yeah, oh yeah. I doubled the marinade and tripled the sauce. Pudgy hubby liked it too. Oh, and one more thing (oh yeah, oh yeah): don't add cornstarch mixture, don't add cornstarch mixture. Oh yeah, no need, oh yeah, oh yeah.

Chocolate Cakes with Liquid Centers

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
Delish. Made this one over and over again. I use baker's chocolate (unsweetened) so it doesn't turn out too sweet. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream.

Scott Ure's Clams And Garlic

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2005
Oh yeah, not bad, oh yeah. Liquid a little too thin, but yummy flavor. Served with garlic bread; wasn't filling enough for pudgy hubbie and ugly mother-in-law. Oh no, oh no. Not so great, not terrible. Next time would make thicker sauce, oh yeah oh yeah, that was the problem, come to think about it. Little Anoose didn't complain. No complaints = oh yeah, oh yeah. Pudgy hubbie's never full anyway, so = oh yeah, oh yeah.

Heavenly Halibut

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
TRULY HEAVENLY!!! I'm eating this as I write this.. this is an incredibly delicious recipe. I doubled the sauce per another reviewer's suggestion but don't believe this is necessary as it is such a flavorful dish. I added a tad more hot sauce, but other than that, followed the instructions. AMAZING!

Baked Halibut Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2006
Oh yeah, oh yeah. Chubby hubby made it for me and himself and it was yummy. Full of anti-inflammatory ingreadients - oh yeah oh yeah. Left out the zuccini because nobody likes it, especially poor Anoose. Too bad, too bad. Also cooked it for much longer, much longer. Julia Child knows how to cook - oh yeah, oh yeah. She says that you should never cook fish "until it flakes" - no flakes, no flakes. Halibut itself could have used some seasoning, some seasoning. Otherwise, a yummy recipe. Recommended for acne sufferers.
