Green Beans with Almonds

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
These are absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I didn't change a thing. You don't need to. I served them as a side along with a Chicken Parmesan recipe I found on here. Both were a huge hit! Recipe is in my recipe box and will definitely be made again and again! Thank you Ruth!

Crispy Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
I made this for 10 people, so the only adjustments to the recipe I made were the serving size! This is an absolutely wonderfully delicious recipe!! I had to beat the chicken breasts down because they were pretty thick and had to cook them in shifts, but by the time I was done with everything this was a perfect meal to serve! My guests loved it! I will definitely make this again! I served it with Green Beans with Almonds which I also got from this site. Very good pairing!!

Baked Omelet Squares

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
What an absolute yummy and super easy dish to make! You can mix and add so many different ingredients. I've made the recipe as is (super good) and last night I made it with just ham, cheddar cheese and mild green chilies. It was delish! The only thing I ever do is scale it down because there are only two of us. Pair this with Sage sausage or bacon and some fruit and I get compliments all day (or night) long! Thanks for sharing!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
I've made this numerous times. I use ditilini noodles (the very short tubes) and I cut down on the sugar after reading the reviews from the original poster. Even using 3/4 of a cup as you list here might be too much. I believe I was using about 1/4 cup, if not less. It IS a fabulous recipe however! If your looking for something fantastic to take to a BBQ or for your family, this is it!!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
The only thing I changed about this recipe was I used vanilla (clear) instead of almond flavoring. Don't be put off by how sweet it is. I used it to frost The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies recipe on this site and together they were perfect! The frosting sets up nice and hard and shiny! I "dipped" the cookies and shook off the excess and than layed them flat to harden. They looked so professional even I was impressed! Definitely a keeper! Thank you!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I have a big family to feed (10 people) so I used 2 3.5lb. roasts and adjusted the cooking time by cooking on high for the last 5 hours. I used beef broth instead of water and omitted adding the vegetables. The roasts was fall apart perfect and the taste was to die for! I have been cooking pot roasts for years and this was by far the best roast I have ever made. Super easy and melt in your mouth perfect! Will make again and again! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!

Garlic Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
Probably one of the best Red Potato receipes I've found! Super easy to make and a huge hit with my family! Instead of cutting the potatoes in quarters, I sliced them into 1/2" slices. They cooked faster and I was able to get more in the pan I was using (I'm feeding a family of 10, so I needed to use ALOT of potatoes and a large pan!) I used olive oil instead of butter and added more cheese than the recipe called for...overall though, this is a winner and one I will make again and again!!

Maple Baked Pork Loin Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
I had a 7lb. boneless pork loin roast and I was looking for a different recipe that would "WOW" my family. Boy did I certainly find it!! This recipe is super easy to make and comes out absolutely wonderful. I read through many of the reviews and made the following changes: did not brown beforehand; since my pork lion was one piece, I cut it in half (each piece than measuring about 12"); I used Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce (as another reader suggested) instead of ketchup and during the last 15 minutes I put it under the broiler to glaze up and basted it the entire time. My family raved about it over and over!! Definitely a keeper!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2005
ABSOLUTELY fantastic recipe! I've never made macaroni salad before and was looking for something to "impress"! WOW! This is such an easy recipe to follow. I read the reviews beforehand and only used 2T of sugar, omitted the celery seed and added the salad dressing mix a little at a time. I also put some pimentos in it and some sliced black olives. This was a HUGE hit at the Bar-B-Q!!! Even my 14 month old grandson loved it! Thank you so much for sharing this! It's going in my recipe box and I will most certainly make this again and again!
