Broccoli, Corn, and Green Bean Saute

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2006
My family enjoyed this dish (even my one-year-old). The only thing we would change is that the green beans didn't quite seem to fit. Next time I think I'll try cauliflower or even throw in some onions or peppers. Great flavor, though! I happened to have sun-dried tomato and basil flavored feta, and it was very tasty.

Quick to get started and very easy. The chicken was nice and moist.

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
This was tasty. I didn't mess with the recipe except to use canned beans since I didn't have time to soak dry ones. Nice consistency when simmered long enough, not too watery. Lovely recipe, thank you.

Mom's Texas Hash

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
My family thought this was pretty good - a filling, tasty meal. I added kidney beans because I thought it just needed something, and was happy with that choice. It was also pretty fast and easy. Thanks for the recipe!

Southern Green Beans

This was very tasty, enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing! I did substitute ham for bacon to use up some leftover Easter ham, and it was a light, wonderful warm weather meal. Thanks!

Easy Mashed Potato and Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This was yummy! I estimated on the mashed potatoes and maybe overdid it because it was heavy on the mashed potatoes, I thought. But it was delicious. Don't skip the extra sauce on top. Thanks for the recipe!

Cranberry Walnut Slaw

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2008
I like this recipe and have used it many times. I leave out the walnuts but even so, it's delcious. A different, refreshing twist from normal coleslaw.

Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
I was skeptical of the reviews saying it would get my kids to eat spaghetti squash better, but it did! They loved how it was baked right in the shell. Delicious, thanks!

Ginger Veggie Stir-Fry

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
This was easy and very tasty. Our only complaint was that we wanted more sauce to help coat the rice. So next time I might try adding more liquid. But the flavor was great - thanks for the recipe!

Fabulous Fried Cabbage

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
I thought this needed a little extra flavor but it was a great base to start from. I followed the advice of other reviewers after it was all done and seasoned and added a little red wine vinegar for a little twang. Very nice, thanks for the recipe!

Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Ditto to many reviews - I wouldn't call these cheesecake bars. But they're delicious. Because they taste like pumpkin pie, I couldn't help but top it with whipped cream and a dusting of pumpkin pie spice. I also did the 9x13 recipe but otherwise left everything the same. Delicious. I dare say I liked these even better than pumpkin pie. Thanks!

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
This was tasty!! Even the little ones were raving, which is rare for a meat dish in our house. Enjoyed it thoroughly, will definitely make this again. Loved how tender the pork was. Thanks!!

Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
This was a good starting point glaze. I made it as the recipe stated, except for increasing the milk as suggested by others. It looked nice but tasted too "powdered sugar-y" for me. I added 2 more tsp of melted butter and a bit more milk to make a nice, thin glaze. I liked the flavor much better after that. Thanks for a great starting point - I needed this for cinnamon rolls and wanted it fairly thin.

T's Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2006
My family enjoyed these very much - even my one-year-old. I have made these twice - the second time I had only two large sweet potatoes but used the original amount of sauce and we liked them even better than the first time (when we used 4 potatoes).

Ham 'n' Cheese Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
This was a great way to use up leftover ham and potatoes. My kids who didn't like the potatoes yesterday (I used red potatoes and they didn't like the skins in them) gobbled this up today. I think the whipped cream trick is fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

Skillet Custard with Berry Sauce

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
This was a great gluten-free dessert for my family. We used a different strawberry topping just because we didn't have all the ingredients on hand to make yours. But we loved the flavor of this, and the ease of making it. Thanks for sharing!

Yummy! My first time trying turnips and it was positive, although I feel I wouldn't be a big fan of them raw. Thanks, this was tasty!

Spicy Honey Mustard Pork Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I thought this was delicious. I cut way back on the pepper (only used about 1 1/2 t.) and it was plenty for us. I also cooked it a little longer. Wonderful, my small kids liked it too!

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
My family enjoyed this. I tried to err on the side of healthy by choosing corn tortillas instead of tortilla chips, reduced-fat sour cream (less than the recipe called for). We enjoyed avocado served next to it. The only thing I might do differently next time is add the tomatoes fresh after it comes out of the oven.
