Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
My family and I LOVED this dish! The only thing I changed was that I cut it in 1/2 (made plenty for our family of 4), used turkey meatballs since that's what I had, and I added about 1/3 cup of milk because I was afraid the sauce might be too thick. Made more than enough gravy for the meatballs. I loved them just by themselves. My husband and kids ate them with mashed potatoes, using the sauce as gravy for the potatoes. Definitely a huge hit in our family! I didn't find that it was too salty, as some others had stated. Couldn't be happier to find such an easy, crowd-pleasing meal. Also, mine were done in 3 hours.

Hockey Pucks

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
These are fantastic, but I do make a few changes. I prefer to use chocolate almond bark as it's got a smoother texture. Second, I like to spread one cracker with peanut butter and one with marshmallow fluff before sandwiching them together. Wonderful treats!

Grandma's Noodles II

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
I love these noodles. I've made them twice now and I've used the baking powder each time (I like my noodles big and hearty). I followed another reviewer's suggestion to use my food processor and the dough only took minutes to make. I let them dry for 20 minutes, but after that just put them straight into my soup and they turned out wonderfully. The size of this recipe is perfect for a single batch of soup. Today I was craving them again and just boiled them in chicken broth and had noodles and broth for lunch. I added a little garlic powder to the dough this time and it was a tasty change, but they are still wonderful as the recipe is written.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I didn't have self-rising flour so I used another reviewer's suggestion for "homemade" self-rising flour. I saw another reviewer's comment that they used diet cola instead of beer, so I tried it that way first since we didn't have any beer at home. I only had Diet Dr. Pepper and let me tell you that doesn't work well for this recipe! It was so gross. For my second attempt I used a bottle of hefeweisen beer and it turned out amazingly well. Paired with some garlic dip it was out of this world. Amazing how simple this recipe was.

Fudge Brownies I

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
I LOVED THESE BROWNIES! Wow, were they delicious! I used 2 eggs instead of 4 since people said they were too cakey with 4. I thought that with only 2 eggs they were a bit too fudge-y for me (but not my husband and sons). Next time I'll try it with 3 eggs to see if I find a happy medium. Fantastic recipe - thanks SO much!

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
While these cookies had a DELICIOUS taste, they were so crumbly that I couldn't even hold one in my hand without it breaking apart. They definitely melted in my mouth, and like I said, I loved the flavor. I don't think I'll make them again though - just crumbled in my hands.

Apple Glazed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2005
The combination of the onion soup mix and applesauce sounded intriguing, but the reality was different. Definitely too much onion flavor and it didn't go very well with the sweetness of the apples. I won't be making this dish again.

Barbeque Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2005
This recipe is delicious! My husband loves it and it's so easy to make. I did add a little Worcestershire sauce when browning the beef & onions. Also, I used 1 cup BBQ sauce. It is definitely a family favorite.
