About this Cook
I'm a very young girl, tryng to be as good as a cook as my mom when i get older. I enjoy cooking new and exotic things for my family. I love seeing thier expressions right after they take the first bite of my cooking!
My favorite things to cook
I could cook any type of pasta, that is the best, it could go great wih anything, and very easy to make! I also like to make new things than the ordianry West Indian things my family enjoys. I use that main idea, and change it up a bit. I love to cook Itlian and Caribbean foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Guyanese and Caribbean cooking. I love cooking with my mom, even if she is doing the cooking, I love to watch her, and see everything that she does. Almost all the ladies in my family love to cook, including me, so sometimes, we would all come over to my house and the guys would watch t.v or just hang around, and we girls would be in the kitchen, cooking up dinner, and sharing gossip. It truly is alot of fun.
My cooking triumphs
Making my mom and dad smile after my first thing i cooked, chicken parmagian, and the latest I cooked, fiery angel hair pasta with chicken. All that matters is that my family enjoys it, because they do so much for me, I try to give back to them in something I do best, cooking.
My cooking tragedies
When I made chicken tetrazinini, I can't even spell it. I came out a mess, had to throw all away, wll never do again! Also, baking. Baking and me never see eye to eye, so I tend to stay away from that department.

Chicken Tikka Masala
Wow, very very good. However, I dd have to tweak this a little bit. I omited the cumin and cinnamon, and used tandoori seasoning for the chicken marinade instead. Also, while I was cooking the sauce, I tasted it, and it had too much of a tomato flavor, so i added garam masala, korma seasoning, and more tandoori powder to give it more of an Indian taste. Finally, instead of using whole milk, I used half regular milk, and the other half coconut milk to give it a really nice flavor, texture, as well as aroma. Finally, I didn't garnished with cliantro, but stirred it in the last few minuets of cooking, I think it brings out the flavor a lot better that way. Finally, served with naan, and it was wonderful! Will definatly make this again!

Very good base recipe, however, I thought it was a little too much flour for that much liquid. I would just use 4 cups instead of 4 and half. Other than that, very good flavor.

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon
Very, very falvorful. I subbed the balsamic vinegar for rice vinegar. I also dusted on a blend of seasonings, including cayenne, paprika, and seasoning salt. I baked it instead, covered with foil, and it came out moist, and delicious. Great combination.
