Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
I used 1 lb sausage, 1/2 tsp each dried oregano and basil, 1 tsp. italian seasoning. Substitued ricotta for cottage cheese and in the ricotta/sour cream mixture added beaten egg and 1/3 c. grated parmesan cheese. I mixed the meat/sauce with the ziti before putting into pan. Then at the end since I had no plain meat mixture, I ended up topping with some extra sauce. We like sauce and 2 (26 oz) jars were not too saucey in my opinion. The recipe was very tasty!

Reduced sugar 1/4 cup to equal lemon juice. Results...Perfection! Thanks for sharing. I made this as a special Valentine's Day treat for my 3 year old who loves lemonade. Never has she had the real thing though. She loved it. :-)

No-Fuss Cinnamon Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
As everyone says, presentation not great, but I got some good compliments from it. Including from someone that does excellent baking. She requested the recipe and used it at a baby shower for a friend's daughter. She said she got rave reviews from it as well. Thanks!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
perfect! I think if you omit the coconut and add white chocolate chips and macadamia nut cookies, this dough would taste just like Subway's white chocolate macadamia nut cookies.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
The chicken was good, but I did not like the sauce on the rice. I could really taste the apple cider vinegar. Rating 4 for the chicken.

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
These were good, but not great. I didn't think the cake part was the best. I may just try a box mix next time and use the cream filling in that.

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
This was very good! I had 4 boneless pork chops and marinated them for 2 1/2 hrs in sauce as stated (minus 1/2 T. oil) plus 1 tsp garlic powder. While I put that marinade together in one ziploc bag, I also put together another thing of sauce in another ziploc bag and refridgerated that along w/ the marinating pork chops and sauce. Then when time to bake, I used the fresh sauce to put on according to recipe directions. Only needed to bake about 10-15 min each side as my porkchops were only about 1/2 in thick.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
Very good! I also increased the flour and baking soda. Flour to 1 1/2 cups and baking soda to 1 tsp. I also decreased the salt to 1/2 tsp, all modifications per other reviewers. They were chewy, but not flat this way.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
I only used 3 chicken breasts and that was plenty for this casserole. I guess is just depends on the size of the chicken. I used seasoned salt instead of regular salt (about 3 dashes), added some garlic powder (probably 1-1 1/2 tsp) and also lightly sprinkled some seasoned salt on the cubed chicken before mixing it all together. This was very yummy. My husband and I both gave it a 5. Thanks for the recipe!

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
I give this 5+ stars! I don't even like hot drinks, but this has changed my mind. Forget powdered mixes from the store. This is so easy and so good. I followed the recipe except for replacing the half and half with cool whip.

Mississippi Mud Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2006
This was very good. I actually preferred it a little warm. It tasted a lot like Texas sheet cake to me. I halved the frosting recipe and found that to be just right for our tastes, and we like sweet things. I had no idea that marshmellows would melt into the batter like that and be so good!

Coconut Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
Very good! I used 2 small boxes vanilla pudding as that is what I had on hand. Next time I will use coconut flavored pudding. I increased the milk to 2 cups due to the extra pudding mix. I put in 2 full cups of coconut into the pudding and then toasted more coconut to put on top. I can see where some reviewers that didn't like coconut before liked this pie. It isn't strong coconut flavor, but it is good. I think with the coconut flavored pudding, it will be even better!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2006
I make 6 mini meatloaves from this recipe. I cut the ketchup topping ingredients in 1/2 as my husband doesn't like it, but I love it. Instead of onion and salt/pepper, I use 1/2 package dry onion soup, and it works out perfect.

French Toast I

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2006
I have found that for me to get enough for 6 slices of texas toast, I need to do 1 1/2 times the recipe on all of the ingredients. Also, since the cinnamon sticks to the first couple of pieces of bread, for the remaining pieces of bread, I dip them and put them on the skillet, I then sprinkle some cinnamon on the side that hasn't cooked yet. I find that the vanilla extract is essential for better flavor.

Absolutely wonderful! Thanks for the recipe. My extremely picky 2 year old kept asking for more. That is the first time any recipe I have tried from All Recipes has been successful with her.
