Cheesy Brat Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
This stew was very easy, and it was very delicious. I doubled the recipe and made a few changes. I used a can of mushroom and a can of cheese. Also, instead of water, I used half dark beer and half beef broth. I substituted carrots for the green beans and used fresh onion. I used red potatoes and left the skin on. Finally, I added a jalapeno. As other reviewers suggested, I added the shredded cheddar at the end. I let it cook on high for about six hours, and it was perfect. Rave reviews.

This was a very easy cake to make and super moist! I personally didn't think it was anything extraordinary, but it was very good.

Easy Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
This recipe is super easy! It's great when you need something fast and simple. For people who are confused about the directions, it just takes the dry cake mix and a can of pumpkin. (I used pumpkin pie mix and dark chocolate cake mix. I also threw in some chocolate chips. Yum!) As other reviewers have stated, the muffins come out of the oven shaped like they went in so if you want a more presentable muffin, use an ice cream scoop or smooth out the tops before baking. These muffins are rich, heavy, decadent ones that are great for using up leftover cans of pumpkin or must making something at the last minute.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
I was skeptical at first because I really dislike zucchini, but I wanted something healthy for my two dads on Father's Day. I subbed half the oil with applesauce and half the flour with wheat flour. I also pureed the zukes instead of shredding them. As they were baking I could smell the zucchini which made me worry a little, but all was good in the end. They were a little dry which is probaby my fault because I was short on zucchini, and they smell a little veggie-ish..But they are chocolatey delicious. I will make these again for sure.

Cinnamon Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2005
This was my first attempt at homemade ice cream, and it was very easy. I made it for my family's Fourth of July barbeque, and it got rave reviews from everyone...even those who don't care for ice cream. I served it over warm, grilled peaches. Yummy! I will definitely make this ice cream again.

White Chocolate Amaretto Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2005
I was going to make two of these for two separate get togethers. On the first one, I followed the directions, but the cake ended up so soggy with the glaze that it stuck to the pan and came out in pieces. Needless to say it was ruined. For the second one, I removed it from the pan before applying the glaze. It came out fine, and it had a great amaretto flavor. Overall, I don't think the cake was worth the effort, and I will not be making it again.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2005
This cake is so easy! It is perfect for get togethers and birthdays when you are short on time. My family of chocoholics absolutely loved the rich, dark chocolate flavor. I garnished it with fresh strawberries and a dusting of powdered sugar, and it was beautiful, too. I've gotten so many requests for the recipe, and I plan to use it repeatedly.

Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2005
I made this cheesecake for a holiday get together over a year ago, and it was a hit with everyone. I still get comments about it and requests for it. It is definitely a recipe I will keep using.
