I am married to a wonderful husband, who fortunately will anything, even burnt toast! I have four kids ranging in age from 5 - 13.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new meals and finding things that everyone will eat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I learned to bake breads, pies, and cinnamon rolls with my grandma. I have so many memories of working in her kitchen and making my own little loaves of bread or pans of rolls to take home. She is now 94 and in a nursing home, baking and dancing are the two things she misses most. Last year my daughter and her worked side by side in our kitchen, as Grandma taught Jackie how to make cinnamon rolls.

Key West Penne
Yum! My family loved this one, even the picky eaters. My husband said it was like eating an expensive restaurant meal - I know, he's corny!

Pork Chalupas
I would give this more than 5 stars if were possible! I followed the recipe exactly, and everyone loved it, even my two picky eaters. It wasn't really spicy, but had incredible flavor. I was a little leary about not soaking the beans overnight, but they were tender and delicious. We put a little oil in the skillet and fried the tortillas until crispy and served it on these. This makes a big batch, but everyone was looking forward to leftovers.

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage
I belong to a diva meal group, we each make 8 entrees once a month we can freeze and than swap. My group asks me to make this for them on a regular basis. It is simple to make, tastes great, and freezes well.
