About this Cook
I am great at following a recipe and getting what I am supposed to get. That being said, yeast scares the poo out of me. So many variables! I am a cooking girl, not baking. Give me savory any day of the week!

Homesteader Cornbread
First time to make cornbread from scratch and it was SO easy and SO worth it! The family loved it! (kids 5&10). My husband said it was the best he had ever had and kept commenting on how it wasn't grainy. A major plus! Simple and seemingly decedent this is the cornbread my family wants!

Baked Oatmeal II
Very tasty! I halved the sugar after reading reviews. While it was still acceptable, it just wasn't as desirable. Next time, will start with 3/4 cup sugar and add more if necessary.

Chili Rellenos Casserole
Actually is more like a quiche and totally not what I was expecting. But then, I am a Texas girl and am fairly prejudice.
